Where did the Edit option go?
I went to edit a post I just made a few hours ago, but all trace of an edit option appears to have suddenly become non existent!
What is going on with this? I really need to edit my post!

If you mean a post in this forum this is the only post you wrote.
If you mean a listing. You haven't listed anything to edit.
To edit a forum post see image below arrow shows where you need to click to find "Edit".
For a listing edit is next to the listing you want to edit.
If your listing is a draft click resume draft.

·2 years agoIf it was for a listing; try opening My eBay and click on selling. Might show under drafts or scheduled. Perhaps you didn't quite complete the process.

·2 years agoAre you referring to a "post" or message on this Board?
Or do you mean that you listed an item for sale and it has not shown up yet?

·2 years agoYou can only edit during a very short window after posting. You have gone way past the window at this point. Been that way for a very long time. You can ask the moderator to remove the post. Unless you posted under a different user ID, you have no other post or replies under this account/user ID.

·2 years agoKhoros changed something because the window to edit forum posts is much longer than it used to be.

·2 years agoThanks, I see that now. Checked my first post, at an hour later could still see the edit button.

·2 years agoI noticed that as well. We used to have only 5 minutes to edit a post. I have no idea how long we have now.
Another change without any announcement. 🙄

OP2 years agoSeems ridiculous some eBay forums provide such a short editing window, while I can still edit here in messages, though. eBay should at least be more consistent and transparent in regards to editing capability time frames. Just my opinion.
As it happens, I don't need to edit my photo after all. What had happened was there was one item on my delivered mail package I forgot to redact before posting here, but upon further checking, it's sufficiently blurred to be non legible, anyway. The discussion board was where I had made my post, if that helps provide any clarity.
I have no idea how I ended up with two different accounts with the exact same user name when I was only trying to get logged in so that I could post a message! I find this whole eBay forum setup really weird!!
CHEERS! 🙂
