Warning: Bulk relisting is creating duplicates
If you end and re-list items via bulk editor beware it may duplicate listings. I had 5 duplicates today that I had to find and end.
Bulk editor has been a thorn in my side across multiple accounts for a month and none of the accounts act the same. They are completely different issues and the editors even have different features from one account to the other. The one that is duplicating accounts has the AI suggested items attached to it.
My other main account has actually been working correctly for a few days (knock on wood)

·4 months agoSo to clarify the OPs point, the duplicated listings were exact copies of 5 other listings in the group?
"The one that is duplicating accounts has the AI suggested items attached to it." - I'm not really sure what this means but if the Always Incorrect software is the problem can you remove it?

·4 months agoYou may also want to check how many listings show in Seller Hub vs. how many show under Active. I have been one-off for two weeks. The Seller Hub number is correct for me.

Which coincidentally is the number that I'm shorted in listings displayed. If I select 200 active listings to display only 198 will show... I've kept that one ghost listing ebay created in error for me this week active to see how it played out. I may go ahead and delete that and see if my difference changes to 1 off.
Are you showing only 199 listings if you choose to show 200? Or even 49 if 50 is chosen? All of mine are 2 short and that does not happen in my other accounts.

·4 months agoFor much of the week it had been showing 1-49 when I had it set to 50, but if I clicked to the second page it correctly displayed 51-100. I counted both pages. The first page was indeed 49 listings, and the second page was 50.
The reason I know what is shown in Seller Hub is correct is because the API program I use displays the same number. To verify further, I downloaded my listings from eBay and opened the spredsheet. It had the correct number of lines of items.
I don't think I have a ghost listing. I think the active directory has a display error.
There were already issues for some going back to last summer, but it has gotten worse since they rolled out those annoying AI features.

·4 months agoThat is strange because Bulk Relist should catch any duplicated listings and have you make a correction before listing them.
Are you relisting everything in once session or do you list some and then start the process over and list more?
eBay should catch a duplicated listing also if you just listing one item. Does the relisted items have the same exact title? A little variation in the title would allow them to be listed.
Can you provide the Item Numbers for two duplicated listings?

We relist 100-200 items at a time after they are ended. This time was 99 listings and after they were relisted our check totals were 5 higher than they should be. They were all exact copies and listed twice. This is not the first time I've had this issue, so I knew how to find them quickly.
I removed them immediately so I can't show you both.
This is in bulk editor so they are submitted at one time. I submitted 99 and got 104 new listings. There should absolutely be a safety net on the ebay side that would not allow duplicates. My post is more of a PSA than asking for help. This has happened multiple times over the past year.

Are they not there? They wouldn't just disappear. I need to examine this closely because this is a tool I use often.

I keep my inactive clear. I delete them immediately after cross checking my numbers from my bulk re-list. After I corrected the errors today I deleted what was then 104 inactive. The 99 I ended + the 5 duplicates ended.
No reason to keep items in inactive that have been relisted.
