URGENT: System Glitch (Ghost Listings) Caused Total Search De-indexing & 0 Promoted Offsite Impressions
Summary: amazingk_kr is experiencing a severe technical issue on eBay where newly created listings vanished and then reappeared, causing duplicate listings and a collapse in store traffic. They suspect a back-end glitch is affecting their account's indexing and are seeking assistance from eBay Community Managers and advice from fellow sellers who might have faced similar issues. eburtonlab notes that some listings are visible from their location and suggests that the issue might be with the impressions display rather than indexing. amazingk_kr reaffirms their belief in a system error. kensgiftshop mentions that there's no option to refresh the account.
Hi everyone,
I am experiencing a severe technical issue and wondering if anyone else is going through the same problem or if an eBay Community Manager can escalate this to the Tech Team.
Here is the exact timeline of the glitch that broke my store's traffic:
Two days ago: I created several new listings. However, 3-4 of them simply vanished from my "Active Listings" page.
Relisting: Assuming it was a loading error or they didn't go through, I manually relisted those missing items.
Ghost Listings Appeared: The next day, the original missing listings randomly reappeared, resulting in duplicate listings. To strictly follow eBay’s duplicate listing policy, I immediately ended and deleted the ghost duplicates.
Traffic Collapse: Right after dealing with this system glitch, my store's traffic completely flatlined. My "Promoted Offsite" impressions dropped to exactly 0, and both "Organic Impressions" and "Promoted Listings" took a massive, unnatural dive.
It seems highly likely that this sudden creation and deletion of ghost listings (caused by eBay's back-end delay) triggered a penalty from the Cassini algorithm, or my listings have been completely de-indexed from the search results.
I haven't changed my pricing or store settings. A drop to exactly ZERO in Promoted Offsite is a clear indicator of a back-end system glitch, not a normal sales fluctuation.
Could any eBay Community Manager here please help escalate this to the IT / Technical Support team to check my account's indexing status and refresh it?
Any advice from fellow sellers who have survived similar "ghost listing" glitches would also be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I can see 4900 of your listings that ship to my location at the moment.
Is it possible that rather than indexing issue, eBay is just not displaying the impressions number correctly?

OP2 weeks agoI currently have 5,159 active listings, and I have never experienced an issue like this in my traffic data before. My sales have also never been this low. Additionally, I understand that Promoted Offsite dropping to exactly zero is a known back-end glitch. Given this, I believe the issue may be related to a system error rather than an actual change in my account performance or listing visibility.

Not all of those ship to the US, though, so some may have limited visibility in the US.
