URGENT: Store-Wide Cassini Indexing Lockup Post Fraud Report on TOP Rated Store
Summary: rosebud_8087 reports a severe issue with their Top Rated Seller store, which has been placed in a backend search quarantine following a buyer fraud report and a store tier migration. They note a dramatic drop in daily impressions, views, and sales, attributing it to a structural error in the Cassini indexing, rather than market conditions. eburtonlab suggests the disturbance might be due to regular server updates by eBay, though rosebud_8087 insists the problem has persisted for 48 hours. authentic*vintage queries the use of AI for understanding sales drop and asks for traffic stats, while rosebud_8087 emphasizes the significant discrepancy between backend data and actual store performance. An urgent IT ticket is mentioned as a necessary step for resolution.
My Top Rated Seller store (3,600 items, 0.00% defect rate across 534 transactions) has been placed in an accidental backend search quarantine following a recent buyer fraud report and a store tier migration. A front-line supervisor opened an IT ticket last night, but the restriction has completely zeroed out my business this morning.
Daily impressions dropped another 75.3% overnight, organic views crashed 86.4%, and paid Promoted Listings views crashed 83.7%. My sales are at 0. This is a structural Cassini indexing error, not a 'slow market.' I need an Executive Technical Coordinator to manually pull last night's IT ticket, lift the backend security hold, and push a hard manual database re-sync on my store ID before the weekend. Thank you."

OP1 month ago · EditedTo completely clarify the scale of this issue: Over the last 90 days, we have steadily gained 1,000 additional items in our store each month.
As our inventory scaled by thousands of items, our baseline stayed completely healthy at a 0.4% Click-Through Rate and a 1.3%+ Daily Sell-Through Rate.
The current glitch state has dropped us to a locked 0.1% CTR and a dying 0.3% sell-through rate. Our business has literally been cut to 25% of its volume while our active inventory is at an all-time high.
Standard 'market slowness' or 'free shipping competition' doesn't cause a store that is scaling by 1,000 items a month to drop 75% in efficiency instantly. The backend Cassini index has completely decoupled our scaled inventory from active buyers, which is exactly why eBay IT has issued an urgent high-priority ticket to force a database re-sync.

I see 3486 items you currently have listed at the moment.
Thursday nights are when eBay does server updates, which can cause all sorts of unstable behavior. Typically such disruptions are short-lived.

OP1 month agoI know how it looks on the front end, however, it’s not appropriately reflecting on the backend.
