Unable to link Facebook and Instagram

My Facebook and Instagram became unlinked from eBay. When I try to link them back I get this message:

·3 weeks ago · EditedCheck your social page. My Facebook and Instagram have been re-linked. I didn't do anything on my end; the relinking was automatic. I created 3 posts, and all 3 were posted to both Facebook and Instagram.
It looks like the issue is resolved on my end. @kyle@ebay Can you confirm?

·3 weeks agoI wanted to raise this issue here as I know I'm not alone in experiencing it. The social media sharing feature, specifically syncing eBay listings to Facebook and Instagram, hasn't worked for over two weeks.
What makes this particularly frustrating is that it was working perfectly fine for a period before it suddenly stopped.
I've gone through every troubleshooting step I can think of:
Unlinking and relinking both Facebook and Instagram accounts
Completely removing the accounts from eBay and reconnecting them from scratch
Nothing has resolved the issue. The listings simply do not push to either platform.
For small business sellers like me, this feature isn't a nice-to-have and it's a genuine sales tool. Sharing listings directly to social media increases visibility and drives traffic at no additional cost. Losing it for two weeks and counting has a real impact on revenue.
From what I've seen in other threads, this is affecting multiple sellers, which suggests this is a platform-level issue rather than something on our end.
Has anyone found a fix?
Has eBay acknowledged that they're looking into this?
Any update from the team would be greatly appreciated.

·1 month agoSame here. I use this feature daily and for it to just be unavailable for the last 5-6 days is ridiculous. I understand glitches happen but for it to not be fixed after 5 days is unacceptable. I understand they are working on it and i hope it will be back soon. I'm losing sales daily because of it.

·1 month agoGood to see I'm not the only one with this problem. When I called, they claimed no one else had reported it. Please everyone....REPEATEDLY CALL ebay support and ask when this is going to be fixed! Maybe it will put some fire under those tech chairs for them to hurry. I'm not a tech person of course, but it seems ridiculous that this problem keeps happening. I think this is the 2nd time in my recent memory. They should have been working on that instead of over here worrying about changing the community site...

·1 month agoI am receiving an error message as well. I can link to Pinterest but Facebook and Instagram are not linking. It is saying "Facebook login is currently unavailable for this app". I have never had an issue before but 3 days ago it stopped working. I hope this is being worked on by eBay so we can get back to posting on socials. I post daily and I do receive sales from posting. If anyone can tell me if there is something else, I should be doing to reconnect these apps i would greatly appreciate it.

·1 month agoHaving this same issue all of a sudden starting yesterday. Logged out of ebay and Facebook, cleared caches - not sure how to check permissions but never had to in the past... any guidance would be appreciated! thanks!

Typing that error message into Google provides this:
"To fix the "Linking was unsuccessful" error on eBay, verify your social account credentials, ensure your Facebook page is active, and confirm your Instagram is set to a business account. Navigate to Seller Hub > Marketing > Social, re-click the social button, and re-grant permissions for the eBay app.

·1 month agoUseless mumbo-jumbo. There is a broken communication issue between the sites that ebay needs to fix. The "handshake" that should happen when the sites receive the request to link is not happening.
