I'm still having problems. On the website it seems to work the best, but the app is so messed up. Which is where a lot of people buy from. I'm also having issues with selling with the app.
Unfortunately the only sale I've gotten is someone who already had the item in their watch list, which is apparently the only way some buyers can still purchase anything.
Yup, searches and ebay stores load 38000 items, come up then disappear for me seconds later, just started today. Ebay searches have MS Edge spinning and not loading for a a couple weeks now too, search fields try to guess what I want to type....it's a disaster.
Try turning off just the "ABP filters" under the Advanced menu of Ad Block Plus.
Those -- and the equivalent "Anti-circumvention" filters from Ad Block -- have caused problems in the past, triggering on promoted listings, generally slowing down the search results page from loading, and occasionally when eBay changes things to make it harder for users to block promoted listings, wiping out non-promoted listings as well.

@eburtonlab thanks, that's good info to have!
I usually use eBay without ad blocker turned on for other reasons, so it's not a problem for me specifically, I was just confirming that your guess that it was what was causing the issue for people today was right. 🙂
Hopefully for those having problems, turning off the ABP Filters will do the trick.
We are sellers here. It is fine to come up with a solution, but what about the millions of BUYERS running into this? They do not spend their time on community boards trying to figure out why ebay is not working properly. They will just get frustrated and go shop elsewhere!

@backpacktreasures totally valid and a point that many of us have brought up numerous times to the eBay staff members here in this forum whenever this issue comes up.
However, until/unless eBay decides they care to do something different, the best any of us non-employee members here can do is help each other out with suggestions when it happens.
Search is not working here in PA either. It was working earlier. Then stopped. It would show an alleged number of results but just a blank field of white below. This is on Safari and Firefox. On our desktop iMac computers and on the iPad. I looked all over for the reason. Finally found the posts in threads here in the eBay community. eBay is nothing without that search feature working!
When doing a search you get the number of items but no actual item listings. It is the same problem for active and completed listings. Also if I search for my own items.
Still down. I'm trying to research what to list my items at. On mobile all it's showing is upcoming live shows, which is not at all what I'm looking for.
Same her in RI. Search sucks anyways. Especially in car parts where you get all wrong results because of keyword stuffing. I get better results for ebay listing search in google.

·6 months agoUnchecking the ABP Anti-circumvention filter seems to have done it. It also fixed my store filter search slowness and delays.
Thank you all!

Try temporarily disabling your ad blocker. In the past, problems with overly aggressive ad blocking rules have shown similar behavior.

·6 months ago@eburtonlab just confirming this ^ appears to be what is happening today, April 2, 2026.
In both FireFox and Chrome, I am seeing normal search results with ad block turned off but the results disappear when I re-enable Ad Block Plus.

Just tested it, working fine from a desktop machine here. Try closing out the browser/refresh the page, or even restarting the device.

Try another browser to rule out a browser issue.
Try temporarily disabling add-ons.
Ad blockers have been known to wipe out search results at various points if an ad blocking rule is to aggressive.

Browser or app?
Searches seem to be working normally for me either way. No reports of issues on downdetector.
