Top r seller question. all help appreciated.
I sell wood for musical instruments. one-of-a-kind pieces. This year I've had my seller rating go from top rated to below standard because of I believe algorithm defects. The problem is with double sales. E.g. in that a sold item will sell again months later for a 2nd time. Has anyone had this problem and how was it fixed.

This has happened to me and as far as some history on the community board it has happened to others too.
Most of the time it is user error (sorry) as when it happened to me it was my error. I relisted a multi-quantity listing after some of the items sold and when it listed it had my original quantities which I did not have in stock anymore.
A percentage of the time it is a glitch in the ebay system for various reasons including but not limited ghost listings (most ghost listings are user error, a small percentage is on ebay in my opinion).
How did I fix it?
I do inventory yearly and a sporadic monthly. I also go through my listings at month end, sort them alphabetically to try to ensure everything I am selling is not listed twice (duplicates) by scrolling along through all the pages of my listings.
You can search through this board for topics and you will be able to see that others have had the same type of issue. They may have some ideas for you.
