The sheer STUPIDITY of the Ebay AI system.....

Why is Ebay AI the LEAST intelligent thing on this planet? I have just sold something. It has already forced me to change my password 5 times, put in my bank details, told me it has confirmed them, then immediately told me I haven't put them in and my account is on hold. AGAIN. Try to fix it, it locks you out into a stupid endless loop of re-setting security with zero actual lasting effect. My buyer generated a query which Ebay doesn't let me see because it has intercepted it and says I need to do the verification AGAIN. what is the POINT of your stupid AI and its stupid systems when all it is designed to do is completely override everything we do and destroy any ability for us to control our own account to maintain a seamless experience for our customers? You wont let us select postage rates correctly because you automatically revert to a completely inappropriate and low rate that doesn't even cover the postage, let alone a reasonable packaging amount. If we CAN change it,you change it right back the moment the screen refreshes. You don't let us deal with customer enquiries. I select for Royal mail to come to my home to pick up orders because I am disabled, and you arrange it on the very last day of the scheduled dispatch window - which means when they don't turn up, which is common in my area (2 failed pickups from my address withing the last 4 days), I have no backup option but to try to do the half hour round trip to the post office in town, find parking miles away because able bodied people are filling any nearby disabled spots, get to the post office and get the parcel sent manually within a 1-2 hour window. And then if I can't make it because my mobility is too bad that day, you punish ME for not dispatching within the timescale, when it is YOUR system that is entirely broken and failing to deliver the pickup service. Ebay has become an absolute nightmare since AI kicked in. Even basic changes are impossible to implement and store. Sort yourselves out. Stop destroying the experience. Give the AI less control, let us have the option of doing it manually if you cant get the automation right.

·2 weeks agoWhen you have done something which triggers trust and safety protections, you are not provided with detailed information on what you did to trigger them.
Often the result is ignoring what you were trying to accomplish and requiring you to repeat the step.
There is no AI involved. This is simply a process in which you are not being provided with any assistance which could be use to subvert the protections Ebay has in place.
It frustrates some honest sellers as well as the thieves and knaves.
