The seller isn't accepting bids or offers from you.
Hello. I am a regular buyer, and I do have a 100% score as a buyer. Yet, despite this, there are curently 2 items I would like to buy but got this confusing message while buying : '' The seller isn't accepting bids or offers from you. '' CASE CLOSED, THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLY

·1 month ago@benfromqc Some of the feedback which you have left for others is probably why you have been added to BBL club

OP1 month agoI left very few Feedbacks, despite the fact that eBay always ask for them. Moreover, I always give a chance to the seller, and most of my feedbacks, if not ALL, are positive. P.S.: explain the BBL club please. I want to be a seller myself so I have to know ;)

The initials "BBL" are short for "Blocked Buyers List."
You have left 6 feedbacks, of which 1 was negative, 1 was definitely neutral, and 1 which was positive, but was loaded with negativity.
Which is very likely why prospective sellers don't wish to take a chance with you.

It may not seem like a lot to you, but two negatives, one neutral, and at least three false positive (passive aggressive) feedbacks is way too many, out of only 99 feedbacks left in total. That is at least six sellers you have damaged.
The feedback you leave for your sellers is the only way other sellers have to judge whether you will be a good, reasonable, understanding buyer, or a difficult buyer who will damage their accounts with no way for the sellers to defend themselves against the loss to their account.
You may have thought you were entitled to leave "honest" feedback, but the reality is that it was "brutally honest", with the emphasis on the brutal, as far as the effect on the sellers goes. No matter how "nice" you thought you were being, you were not.
Now you know why you should not have left those feedbacks. Now you have the consequences.
BBL = Blocked Buyers List
This is the only means eBay sellers have to protect themselves from problematic buyers. All it does is keep you from doing any more damage.

OP1 month agoThank you for your brutally honest reply. Amazingly, eBay is always pushing the buyers with this very sentence : '' Your purchases awaiting feedback ''. I learned a lot today, case closed.

·1 month agoThe message should not be confusing.
It means what it says. The reason is irrelevant.
Some sellers have a hair trigger and block Ebay members for any reason at all. Some sellers on this forum regularly block buyers on this forum who post things which say stay away from this guy.

OP1 month agoWell, it's my first time and my first post in here in this community, I guess some sellers don't want to sell, lol.

·1 month agoSome sellers don't want to sell to some buyers. All sales are not equal. Some buyers are "high maintenance".

OP1 month ago · Edited'' Hair trigger sellers '' and '' high maintenance customers '' ! I won't comment on this since it ain't my case. I would have to call eBay cause it might be a technical issue. Regards.

Typically that message indicates that the seller has specifically blocked you by username from making a purchase.
If you have never dealt with the seller before in any capacity (sent no messages, made no offers), then it is possible that you do not meet the seller's buyer requirements to make a purchase, possibly due to your location or other account factors. If you already have an outstanding bid or offer with that seller, possibly the seller limits the number of items the buyer can buy within ten days. Usually such issues would provide an entirely different message with further details, though.

OP1 month ago · EditedWell, I made an offer to one seller for item number 1, I asked an offer from another seller for item number 2. Two differents sellers, two completely different item. I don't remember doing any busineses before with any of them. My US adress is valid and I receive items from eBay and Amazon on a regular basis since many years. btw, never got any message back from neither of them, nothing, total silence...

·1 month ago · EditedPossibly your requests offended those sellers, or they decided not to do business with you for one reason or another, justified or not.
Or possibly eBay is delivering the wrong error message, and you are blocked for a different reason.
Try completing a transaction with a different seller for the same item, if possible.

OP1 month agoOffended ? Wow, if that is the case, I guess they never use Facebook for instance ! Naahhh, nothing was rude on my side. I will investigate on that '' possibly eBay is delivering the wrong error message, and you are blocked for a different reason.'' Thank you.
