I would like to report a serious technical problem with the “Add note” function in my eBay Purchase History / Activity.
I am a long-time and very active eBay buyer and collector. I systematically use the “Add note” function for 100% of my purchased items. For every purchase, I save important information such as the catalogue number of the collectible, shipment details and delivery status.
I have been using this system for a long time and had notes saved and correctly displayed on all my purchases.
Recently, however, most of my previously saved notes have suddenly disappeared from Purchase History. Some notes are still visible, but the majority are missing. There is no clear pattern – notes have disappeared even from purchases made only a few weeks or months ago, while some other notes are still displayed.
The purchases are not hidden and are not older than three years.
There is also a second problem: the Add/Edit Note function now works inconsistently. For some purchases I can add or edit a note and save it normally, while for other purchases the note cannot be saved at all. This also affects recent purchases.
I have already checked my Purchase History using another browser, and the missing notes are not visible there either. Therefore, this is not a browser, cache or cookie issue.
I am certain that the missing notes previously existed because I systematically added a note to every single purchased item. They contain important information about my collection and shipments that I have accumulated over a long period.
Please investigate this as a technical problem with my eBay account and stored Purchase History data.
Recovering these notes is very important to me, as they contain information that I have systematically recorded for every purchase.

Important new finding: For every purchase where my previously saved note has disappeared, I am also unable to save a new note. The Add Note function repeatedly fails specifically on those items. This strongly suggests an item/data-related technical issue, not a browser or display problem.
