Strange ebay symbols
Summary: Several users reported seeing unusual symbols on the eBay webpage, particularly where the eBay name should appear, affecting various browsers like Microsoft Edge and others. stainlessenginecovers suggested that a monthly update issue with the Edge browser could be causing the problem, advising users to refresh the page. However, some participants noted experiencing the issue on different browsers and devices, indicating it might not be limited to a specific browser. A participant mentioned not encountering the problem when using Firefox.
9/9/2026 ebay page keeps popping up with these symbols < = out > = where it should say ebay on top of the page, anyone know what is going on.

路1 month agoI have not seen this with Firefox.
This may be browser specific. If Edge shows the problem, there ia a likelihood that Chrome will too. Edge is built on Chrome.

We had the same issue yesterday which has continued into today.
We are seeing what you are seeing - ebay's code instead of the page titles on the Active, Inactive, Drafts, and Scheduled Listings pages.
So far, this issue does not seem to affect anything else on ebay. Hopefully it will be resolved with no further issues.

Microsoft Edge Update; happens every month. Hit the 'reload' button top left (3/4 small circle with an arrow) and it will clear up.
I have to do it for many sites (bank, email, amazon etc.)
