Store Search Bar Disappeared for Some Ebay Stores?
I use Windows 10 with Firefox or MicroSoft Edge, and I'm finding that SOME eBay stores are missing a search bar when either I click on "view seller's other items" or "Visit eBay Store." The store will have hundreds of items but no search bar to look for a specific item. There' only the eBay search bar at the top of the page, and the results of any search done there is for all of eBay.
Anyone else notice this?

·3 years agoeBay has been making changes to the seller's "items for sale" page lately. It is not clear if the changes are entirely complete yet or not.
Part of that change apparently removed the search field for sellers' items on those pages. The search field was later added back to the pages of sellers with stores, but sellers without stores apparently are still lacking the search field at the moment.
Some discussion of this can be found here:

There are some alternative methods of searching, such as searching a single seller's items from the Advanced Search page, or using the browser's built-in search (Control-F in most browsers) to find keywords on a given page, but these are awkward and slow compared to using eBay's former search field.

OP3 years agoThanks for the community link to the topic, eburtonlab! Hopefully eBay is monitoring the post.
I remember when eBay would make a batch of changes, they'd publish some kind of notification, or at least beta-test an idea before implementing it.
It's frustrating to keep playing catch-up with eBay's cosmetic whims. These interruptions in basic functions are costing them money by depriving our customers of a smooth buying experience, which creates revenue for eBay in fees.
The harder they make their platform to use, the fewer people will use it.

Users that have strong opinions on various changes or features should definitely contact eBay directly to let developers know how those changes are impacting purchases or sales.
A good way to get word to page developers is to use the "Tell us what you think" link in the upper right of many My eBay pages, or the "Feedback" icon that often appears on the lower right side of other pages:
That icon from a seller's "items for sale" list page leads here:
On a store page, at the bottom you should find this:
Which leads to a similar page about stores if you click on the question.

·1 year agoEbay.com has staffed up the main WEB page completely again. All the top page drop downs have been removed.
They are so stupid that its not funny.
Whats the CEO doing? siting on his back side doing nothing as usual

Drop-down menus seem to be working for me.
Try another browser to rule out a browser issue.
