Sent through CAPTCHA on Log Out

For the last couple of weeks, eBay has been routing me through the CAPTCHA filter when I log out. That was not a typo, it happens when I log out. I don't really mind clicking on the critters who could shelter in a little house with a small round hole in the side. Takes only a few seconds. But it seems to me that the process is indicative of something wrong in the coding that the programmers might want to address, at their convenience.

Indeed it does (and this particular bug has happened occasionally in the past, too), though bug fixes have a low priority around here.

I get alot of Captchas while on the site but not leaving. Of course I always check the "Stay signed in" little checkbox and turn that off when signing in...................

Workarounds, aside from never signing out: use a private or incognito browser window if you need to sign in to a different account, or use different browsers for each account and stay signed in. If you must sign out of a regular browser, click on the lock icon to the left of the address bar and manually delete just the eBay cookies, and close the browser if you have other eBay tabs open.

Hehe . . . excellent, the way you mimicked the lyric. Just for grins, I checked to see what would happen if I refused to accede (succumb) to the CAPTCHA page; that is, I didn't even check the "verify" box to get to the selections page, I just used the X in the corner of the page to exit out. What happened was nothing. I got logged out just fine, and there was no effect on logging in the next time.
