Seller protection from dishonest buyers.
Seven week wait to find out today that I am out $575 from a buyer. Big mistake to refund a high rated buyer payment for missing shipment. This high rated buyer communicated still wanting the missing items if found. This high rated buyer signed for the items that were finally located and delivered after I refunded the purchase. The long time high rated buyer would not communicate receiving the items after numerous requests. Insult to injury, I even combined shipping for multiple items purchased by the buyer for this sale. I was out additional shipping costs not charged to the buyer. Very disappointing. The only sale gone bad in 23 years with Ebay.
It took many phone calls during a two month period to Ebay to find out today that my manual refund request has been completed weeks ago, despite being told repeated by Ebay agents that my request for refund was approved and being processed. So much for 23 year seller protection. Unfortunately, Ebay does not have a category to report dishonest buyers.
No appeals. No message updates from Ebay. Just wasted phone calls to Ebay. So much for honest sellers and dishonest buyers. Just curious if other Ebayers have had such a bad experience as a seller.
