Search results - there is on defense.
I put 'satin bedspread' in my search window. After **2** matching results in the completed search, this is the nonsense I saw as my other options. there is no defense for this kind of incompetence. BTW - I have NEVER searched for anything remotely similar as to what they are showing me so, no, they are not giving comparisons to previous searches.

·3 years agoIt is also picking up item specifics, in the case of these items they all have both satin and spread in the item specifics. Clicking through to an appropriate category makes all the bad hits vanish. Bed is such a common word and often separated from spread so the search engine might be dropping it in the algorithm.

·3 years agoYup, and just about any place I browse on the interweb has no hesitation in showing me a multitude of items that have little, or nothing to do with what I searched for after that which I am seeking is displayed.
The less detailed the search, the more varied the response.
Industry standard.

·3 years agoGoogle Shopping is notorious for showing items that don't match your search terms. I would say eBay hasn't gotten quite as bad as Google Shopping.
