Search in entire Purchase history items, currently it's limited to last period
Hi,
When searching for a query in the purchase history, it's currently searching only in the latest period. I want to find an item I bought several years ago but I'm not sure which year it was. The search should return results from ALL my purchases I've ever made on eBay.

·2 years agoStrange as I can see back to 2017. Go to your purchases and on the right side in small type is "all purchases" with a downward arrow. Click on that to see the time frames

OP2 years agoMy issue is about searching within all items. I'm also able to see each year individually, but can't perform a search for a specific query that will search ALL years.

·2 years agoThe drop down menu says "All" meaning you can see all the years not all purchases.
In order to see purchases for a specific year you need to click the year.

I just tried selecting "All years" in my Purchase History and performing searches of common keywords from titles I have been buying for many years. In each case, the search returned results only going back as far as 2020. So it appears that the search may be limited to the last four years.
You can try searching individual years as far back as 2017.
Or you can request your eBay data going back further, and import that into a spreadsheet and search that way. Reports generally take a week to be made available.
You may be able to spot some transactions in your feedback left or received if you exchanged any feedback.

OP2 years agoThanks @eburtonlab but it's still very annoying, especially given that export takes a long time and not very convenient experience. I think it still makes for a valid compelling feature request case for eBay to address multi-year search in purchased items.

·2 years agoI agree that it would be useful. But keep in mind that until very recently, users were only able to see purchases made in the current year or either of two most recently completed calendar years in the Purchase History.
The fact that seven years are currently available, even if not easily searchable, is a big improvement.
