Ripped off for about 350.00 with no help in sight except possibly Government laws
I bought a phone sold as brand new sealed box on ebay as new unlocked phone as a christmas present 2025. It was for a 10 year old. I bought 2 just alike from same vendor techtronicsmall. The invoice was 690.26. one was activated in early january with no issues on mintmobile, The 2nd one was as well, we thought it was working. About 2 months later the 10 year old told us it only works in the house. We figured out it worked on wifi but had no cellular service, The is repeated several times, we were told it was working but to date, has never been properly activated. Mint mobile, samsung, and verion all have opinion on the problem. I have 3 stating locked by verizon., 2 saying locked by Verizon. We have tried 5 eSIMS and a physical SIM. AI says it is probably a ghost lock on a resellers phone and gave me guidance to open FCC complaint which I did yesterday. I have not been able to get through to ebay because they don't see the purchase in my history. They refuse to take my calls. The ebay vendor has not responded to my request for help. Mint mobile says they have exhausted their technical assistance, I must get whoever is holding the lock to remove it. AI says 2nd level will never even see a ghost lock, samsung or verizon must get 3rd level involved, its probably a ghost lock. Unreal, I will never purchase another electronic on eBay if they cannot get involved and help. Almost 700.00 is unbelievable. I thought they could be trusted. We will see what the FCC comes back with and whether I need to file a police report. If anyone has any ideas, I would really appreciate it.
