Repeated Account Restrictions After Every Sale
Hi all,
My account has been restricted multiple times. Each time I sell an item, my account gets restricted again just minutes later. I then have to wait until the buyer receives the item before the restriction is lifted. This process usually takes about 7–10 days before I am able to sell again.
My funds have also been on hold for several weeks already. I always purchase shipping labels through eBay immediately or within a few hours after an item is sold, and I ship promptly.
There was only one time when an item failed inspection and was returned to me. The item was authentic .It came with the copy of boutique purchase receipt and an authentication certificate from the Legit Check app. However, eBay’s authenticator failed it without giving a specific reason and only noted “unable to verify authenticity.” That was totally fine with me, and I understood I had to accept their inspection decision. I received the item back and never relisted it again.
There was also a previous return request from a buyer, but eBay ultimately decided the case in my favor. The buyer’s reason appeared to be buyer’s remorse, as there was nothing wrong with the item and it had successfully passed eBay’s authentication process.
I believe one of these cases may have triggered the restrictions on my account, because ever since then, my account continues to get restricted every time I sell an item. I have spoken with several agents, and some of them mentioned that this appears to be a technical issue on eBay’s side rather than an issue caused by me. They already helped escalate the case, but the problem is that I still do not know when this trigger/restriction can be removed from my account or whether my case is being treated as a priority.
I have been an eBay member since 2012 (almost 15 years) with 100% positive feedback as both a seller and buyer. I call customer service almost every day, but unfortunately no one has been able to help resolve this issue.
Has anyone experienced something similar before? I would truly appreciate any advice on what I should do next. Thank you so much.

The OP has more of a history than you're seeing.
For some odd reason, when you click on @mycloset203 's profile, another user (from the UK) comes up.
@mycloset203
I suspect the restrictions are because of the prices of the items you've sold!

·4 months agoIf two accounts of the same ID are getting confused - one in the US and one in the UK - then the limitations on the US seller may be due to actions by the UK seller or vice-versa. I doubt the ability of the front-line Customer Service to sort this one out...

Those restrictions you are referring to are more than likely monthly selling restrictions.
You are allowed certain number of items with a cap on the dollar amount of sales monthly, all sellers have them. Those monthly selling restrictions will increase overtime til you are no longer faced with them. It’s all part of being a seller on eBay.

OP4 months agoIt’s not selling limited as I don’t sell that many. I sold only $550 and still get restricted.
