A brand-new private seller
New private sellers will typically receive their funds within 2 days after delivery confirmation (for items sent with an ebay label), 7 days after delivery confirmation (for items sent with a third-party label), or 31 days after the buyer pays (for items sent without tracking) while they build a consistent track record. Once they've qualified to receive their funds faster, they'll typically receive their funds within 2 days of the buyer’s payment. An occasional seller
Sellers who haven't yet established a strong, consistent track record or who don't have any recent selling history will typically receive their funds 24 hours after delivery confirmation (for tracked items), or 31 days after the buyer pays (for items sent without tracking).
If you previously qualified to receive your funds faster as a new seller, you may experience this hold if you haven’t sold in a while. If you do, you’ll receive your funds 2 days after delivery confirmation or 14 days after the buyer pays.
Because policy changes a few months ago, and there is some catching up to do, people continue to provide the wrong information, even when the policy has been posted, pasted, referenced, etc.. There is something different for "export" sellers, but that is from a completely different policy than the regular Transaction Holds policy (https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/getting-paid-items-youve-sold/payments-hold?id=4816).
The above is separate from high-value transactions, which can impact any seller. That info is also contained in the policy page if anyone would care to reference it when providing information to those asking for clarity on payment holds.
Ebay has rules that we ALL need to follow. It is so important that someone considering selling here does their homework before starting to sell. It will save them lots of misunderstandings and frustration. You have to be prepared to follow the rules of the site.
Did you read the User Agreement BEFORE agreeing to it??
You need to understand the basics of selling and how your money is processed at a minimum before listing your first item IMHO. It would save you all this upset if you had spent a few minutes learning about the site first.
You will have to wait for your money. You do not have any way around the rules. However if your buyer has received their item you can contact Ebay and ask them to release your funds. That won't hurt as long as you are polite and respectful. And if they tell you no, try again in another week but ALWAYS polite and respectful. Remember you want them to work for you not against you.
@junk3r67 it's NOT a 'refusal'. It's a policy that new sellers (you haven't sold consistently for past 90 days) will have HOLDS on their $$ for 30 days or more.
