PSA vaulted item - No option to keep it vaulted
I’m trying to purchase a card from the PSA eBay account where the card is currently vaulted. However, during checkout, I’m not given the option to keep the card in the vault or perform a vault transfer (which would not incur taxes). The only available option is to have the card shipped, which results in taxes being charged.
For a different listing where the card is not currently vaulted, I am given the option to send the card to the vault and have taxes exempted.
This appears to be a bug. Keeping the card vaulted should be an available option, and it was possible to do so previously.

·6 months agoIt's April and it's still the same - Buyer cannot leave the card in the PSA vault upon checkout. I actually sent the card to my PSA Vault address, then see the card get withdrawn from the vault, sent to the regional distribution office, then get shipped back to the PSA Vault. Now it's sitting in a queue waiting to be verified and imaged again.
But at least PSA refunded the $5 it cost to send the card on a car ride.

·7 months agoAlmost a month and a half and this is still an issue? Absolutely ridiculous

·8 months agoThe same problem has happened to me...PSA just added a tracking number to a slab that is already in the vault to ship to themselves? I guess I lose out on shipping and taxes then...

·8 months agoSame issue here the past few days. With prior purchases, I have successfully bought on ebay and kept within the PSA vault but that option does not appear now. I just called and spoke with PSA customer service and they said this was a glitch. They are working to fix it, but there is no ETA for when it will be resolved...maybe within a week... Which doesn't help at all. It looks like I'll just ship to me so the card doesn't get hung up somewhere...

·8 months agoYou can ship cards directly to them which avoids sales tax. I have heard others say that they were reimbursed the shipping costs but not sure how that is handled. My biggest frustration is it takes weeks for the cards to re appear in the vault.

·8 months agoSame happening to me... can't checkout until fixed.
Don't want to get auto-charged and have to pay the extra $$$ for tax and shipping. ðŸ˜

·8 months agoSame issue here - have sent communications to eBay and PSA and will hold off payment as long as I can (up to 7 days) in hope of option becoming available. Would have never bid on item had I known PSA Vaulting option was not going to be available. It was disclosed by PSA in the "Item Description from the Seller" as follows "When you purchase this item, you can save on sales tax and selling fees by keeping it in the PSA Vault, official Vault of eBay."

·8 months agoHi @devon@ebay @kyle@ebay @elizabeth@ebay - reports began yesterday, but a lot more buyers are reporting this today. Are you able to provide an update on this?
devon@ebay
Hey @wastingtime101! I was able to get more insight on this and here is what I can share from the Product team:
"We are actively working to resolve a technical issue that currently requires some trading cards stored in the PSA Vault and purchased via eBay to be shipped directly to the buyer. We appreciate your patience and will provide updates as soon as they are available."

·8 months agoThank you @devon@ebay - good to hear this is recognized as a tech issue eBay is actively working to resolve.

·7 months agoWhat's the status on this @devon@ebay ? I've seen reports as recently as Feb 25 that it's still broken. Is that still the case or has it been fixed since then?
devon@ebay
Hey @wastingtime101! I still do not have any insight that is available to share at this time but once I do, I will be sure to let you know.

In that case, since the issue persists, this is probably the answer to @conti9038 's question posted here and @donlagr0 's question posted here about why they can't have a card shipped to the vault.

·7 months agoThanks for tagging me. I just had it happen again last week. In that case, I used my vault address as the shipping address. PSA actually shipped it out the door, it went to a regional mail facility and then shipped back to PSA. I haven’t seen it show up in my vault but at least I don’t have to pay twice to ship it from my home to the vault.
please make it a priority to resolve. I’m just a little guy but that’s like $12 in shipping I’ve needlessly had to pay. Bigger guys are wasting a lot in shipping. Thanks!

·8 months agoI am also having the same issue. I contacted EBay and they were useless. Send a message to PSA and awaiting a response. Going to keep items in my cart for now

·8 months agoSame here! The PSA website was down earlier today, so I think this might be related to that.
