payment system down for buyers
I tried to pay for a purchase last night but when I go to Checkout the Pay and Confirm button is greyed out, and I can't pay. I have been buying regularly with Paypal for 4 years and this is the first time this has happened. I called support last night and reported it, anyone else having problems? I am running Windows 10 and using Googlr Chrome. Thanks.

I was just able to check out and pay using PayPal, so you may want to try again to see if the problem was a temporary glitch.
If not, make sure your seller ships to the UK, and possibly try another browser to rule out a browser issue.

OP5 months agoI am in Canada and the seller is in Canada. It was on ebay.ca. I tried on my ipad which has Safari as my browser, still not working.

Are you logged into your home site when you try to pay?
Sometimes people get logged into the incorrect site and have issues with paying or listing.

OP5 months agoActually, I am not in the UK, I am in Canada and the seller is in Canada. I went to my Canadian account to check out. I couldn't find a Canadain furom. The seller sells on ebay.com and lists everything in US$. I have bought from this seller before. Thank you for your suggestions.

Your account is registered in the UK, though. Is your Primary Shipping Address a Canadian one? Sellers can block payments from users with a primary shipping address in a location the seller does not ship to, even if a different address is chosen at checkout.
Some items or categories may not be available to users registered in the UK as well.
Any difference if you try checking out on ebay.co.uk or ebay.ie?
Can you purchase as a guest?

I did sign out out of my UK account, and my US account, and I logged in to my Canadian account. As I said before, both myself and the seller are in Canada. I have bought from them before. Shipping to Canad is not an issue. I messaged them and and they have not blocked me. I added a Visa debit but I can't pay with that. I tried on my ipad with a different operating system and different browser and can't pay that way either.
I took your advice and signed out of my Canadian account and signed into my UK account, and was able to pay. So thank you but the Canadian Checkout option is definitely down.

·5 months agoI just signed in to ebay.ca, put an item in my cart went to checkout and selected PayPal, and I see an active "payment" button on PayPal's page. That does not entirely rule out a problem with ebay.ca checkout, but it may indicate the problem is with your account, your setup or your particular transaction.
I added a credit card to my account on ebay.ca, and see an active button to "confirm and pay".
