Payment error on buying labels when I pay with seller funds

Ebay will not process payment when buying labels 1-29-26 saying error on payment method. My seller account is positive so no issue there. I cleared all caches etc. Tried multiple times. Other parts of the website do not work as well.

At 7:26 eastern time: I was able to buy and print 3 labels, however, the 4th label I bought says they couldn't process it at this time.

I did, however, receive the email from Paypal stating I was charged.

So the problem isn't fixed...

Based on the reports I'm seeing @mamacassidy , issue isn't 100% fixed, but the success rate has improved. It's obviously a work in progress. eBay prioritizes issues like this so my hope is label generation will be fixed by the morning even if the aftermath of the financials from today takes a bit longer to resolve. Time will tell.

Hi @thetreasuretroveshop @100fishhooks . This is the official response eBay posted earlier:

"We are aware and are working on a solution as many sellers have reported that when trying to purchase shipping labels, sellers are receiving an error and did not provide the label for the order but were charged to their PayPal account.

There is an open ticket under ALERT16439 and I will be sure to update as we get new status updates."

If you need to purchase labels today and can't get them through eBay, you can purchase them elsewhere on sites like pirateship.com or usps.com. If you can wait until tomorrow to purchase labels, eBay labels will hopefully be fixed by then; eBay prioritizes issues like this.

Thanks, ebay ended up fixing their issue and I was able to purchase labels. Thank you everyone who replied.

I am having the same problem this morning. But eBay did successfully charge my sellers account for the labels and assigned tracking numbers to the items. But I cannot get the labels to print, and even when filling in manually the tracking numbers for the items and trying to print the labels one by one using "manage labels" it says no data can be found. I believe eBay should publish an annoucement about his if it is a systemwide problem.

You can register for and use PayPal Shipping to generate a label.

We just had to do this to ship a package, and use them when eBay does not allow items in certain categories (even though they actually are books and/or other media) to ship via USPS Media Mail.

There are also other third party mailers online where one can purchase a label, and then copy and paste the tracking number to eBay.
