·3 weeks agoI've never needed to contact CS with issues with making a purchase or problems with a seller.
What kind of problems are you having?

·3 weeks ago@toyoguy Sometimes member mistake not knowing HOW to do something with Ebay doesn't offer it. The two things are not related.
At the top and bottom of every page in Ebay are links to contact Customer Service.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT or ask an Agent to call you, in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

From this link you can request Ebay to call you in the USA. The option is available when Staff is available to respond, so NOT 24/7/365.

Rather than prompting others to "share" and "explore", why not just start by asking your question, right here?
What issue are you having that you think requires you to contact a customer service representative?
Most issues can be handled through the eBay's website without needing to contact anyone directly.

·3 weeks agoVery rarely do I have an issue that can be fixed by ebay help pages or chatbot. Usually its stuff like "this return was sent as an empty box, I'm not refunding for an empty box, do I have to file a police mail fraud report for you to let me keep my money?" or "today is the 12th I need to reply to this item not received case by the 15th, but the buyer is shipping to an APO, and USPS doesn't estimate that the package would get to them until between the 25th and 30th of NEXT month due to holidays, can you put this case on hold, so when the package is ultimately delivered it will still be within your window to give me my money back, since it will still be in USPS' estimated delivery date?"

And that is EXACTLY why ebay did away with real human customer service reps as it was simply a HUGE waste of time and money....because the answer to your 'issue' is real simple (AND automated AND fully transparently explained in Policies)
You STILL must refund as there is NO proof WHAT you sent in the first place nor any proof of what you received, even if an empty box. If tracking shows delivered, you either must refund in full (depending on initial reason) or you can deduct UP TO 50% of the refund if it is in 'less than' condition...AND; you qualify to do so.
Talking to someone will NOT change ANY of that. There is NO system in place for you to 'KEEP' your money.
Learn how the system works and you will NEVER need help. And remember, whatever you 'think' was done MOST times cannot be proven.
@toyoguy There is NO reason to try to 'overcome' AI. Simply learn the systems and know that not everything can be 'proven' whether you talk to a human or not'.

·3 weeks ago · EditedAnd yet, the answer was not what you said - I did not have to refund as there was proof of what I received - as my carrier told me it didn't feel right and to video him giving it to me and opening in front of him as a witness. With the police report I did not have to do the deduct 50% option as it was due to criminal activity. So maybe you need to learn how the system works.

·3 weeks agoThey put the return on hold and gave me the link to submit the police case. Nether of which the AI can do

For questions like those you might try contacting eBay via Instagram direct message if you don't want to ask on the Selling board for practical advice from experienced sellers.
