Has anyone else run into this? I have 2 orders from the same buyer showing up in my "Orders to ship" as overdue, but these were already shipped days ago in the same package. Labels were purchased through eBay, tracking was uploaded, and USPS confirms the package was scanned, made it to the destination, and even went out for delivery. It's now being returned to me due to "Insufficient Address" — a buyer address issue.
Regardless of the return-to-sender situation, I don't understand why eBay is flagging these as overdue and asking me to ship. The tracking is clearly active with multiple scans.
Is this a known glitch? Concerned about this counting against my seller metrics when the orders were shipped on time with full tracking. Anyone dealt with this?
Thank you everyone for your time.

·4 months agoHaven't had it happen with 2 separate orders that were shipped combined but yeah I've run into this a handful of times. If it happens after your deadline to ship has already passed then yes it will count against your metrics and no eBay doesn't care and won't fix it. Go into the order details and re-add the tracking number. Next time it gets an updated scan the full status history will repopulate back into eBay's system (which should but in fact will not unmuck your metrics, because lol eBay). I expect you may run into a spot of trouble with trying to add the same tracking number to both orders, even though that's exactly how they were shipped. Might want to start with the more expensive order just in case.

OP4 months agoThanks for the suggestion, but I actually already tried re-adding the tracking and it didn't change anything — still showing as overdue. Also just to clarify, the orders were shipped on time within my 1 business day handling. So it's not a case of missing a deadline. That's what makes this so frustrating — shipped on time, labels purchased through eBay, tracking shows full activity, and it's still flagging it. Feels like a system issue on eBay's end.

The glitch was significantly less frustrating when it happened a few hours after I'd shipped rather than a few days after. Being able to add the tracking back in without issue every time is my whole basis for saying that though. Can you remember what page you were on just prior to it occurring?

·4 months agoThere is definitely something wrong. A seller sent me two packages two weeks ago, I got them three days after he shipped, yet the tracking still shows a label was created, but not shipped.

·4 months agoDefinitely. I see 4 that were shipped with tracking and it still says awaiting shipment.

·4 months agoQuite common to see. Especially if you have only a 1 or 2 day handling time.
Many packages are not scanned until the first distribution center.

OP4 months agoThanks for the reply, but my situation is a bit different. The package was scanned — multiple times, across multiple facilities, and even went out for delivery. It's now being returned to me due to an insufficient address. So it's not a case of the package not getting an initial scan. eBay should be seeing all that tracking activity since the label was purchased through them. That's why I think this might be a glitch rather than just a scan delay.
