Notification Bug - Continuously Pops Up / Cannot be Deleted
Need some help with a bug I've encountered with notifications. I continuously get a notification that my counter offer was accepted, for an item that has now been sold, and cannot delete it or stop it from popping up, see attached picture below.
When I try deleting it from either the browser or mobile app, it comes right back, and it does nothing when I click on it. Also, disabling notifications in settings only stops legitimate notifications, but this notification keeps popping up on the screen.
Anyone else encounter this bug and/or found a workaround until it's fixed? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

·1 year agoI can confirm this is still an issue. Happens on every eBay platform, I've sent a technical report submission 3 separate times in the past couple weeks.

·1 year agoAlmost a week later, I am still seeing the same "new offer" notification pop up. You'd think this would be a priority to fix an ongoing bug with 11 pages of replies, rather than making random UI changes but...

·1 year agoThis issue is still happening, now with a "New Offer" notification which was accepted but won't go away. I'm wondering if the buyer even received the notification their offer was accepted, since the site still seems to think I have an unanswered offer to deal with.
 
It seems to be stuck in limbo/notification purgatory. This marks two months since this thread was created, the issue is still ongoing.

·1 year agoHOW ISN'T THERE A FIX FOR THIS YET!!!!!!!!???????? It's quite annoying that I've been getting the same notification for over a week. I have called multiple times; doesn't seem as if they care since it doesn't affect them.

·1 year agoI too have been having the problem for about a week now. None of the options listed have worked for me. Strange little bug to have in the system. Makes me somewhat concerned what other software bugs they have that they are unable to get under control. 🤔

·1 year agoHow this wasn't an easy 2 minute fix is quite baffling. At this point it's either they don't care, or for some reason they don't know what to do. Either way, it's a terrible look.

We have 2 items we sold and shipped, one 9 and the other 5 days ago, and their "You're Couter-Offer was Accepted" pop ups have been appearing every few seconds on all the employee's desktops, who have access to eBay. Looks like from all the comments I have read there is nothing you can do but wait for the fix to happen.

·1 year agoOMG I have this exact problem, this Is incredibly annoying . If I had know this was a bug- I would have never sent the counter offer, I think I legitimacy want to stop using eBay until this **bleep** is fixed.

·1 year agoAdding to the list of complaints. This bug has still not gone away. I am getting the continuous "YOUR COUNTER OFFER WAS ACCEPTED" notification. I can imagine the annoyance of many of your users as mine has just been happening for two days. I've done no business this morning while trying to find a work-around. Think of the revenue loss for eBay.

·1 year agoOne obsolete notification about an offer being accepted, repeating over and over. As many others have already stated, we've tried all suggested remedies to no avail. Unsurprisingly, this started soon after the roll-out of the 'new look' for messaging/notifications. Please eBay- fix this glitch! And in future, if it ain't broke- DON'T FIX IT!

·1 year agoExactly the same happening to me also. Now 1 week with the same item popping up every 5 seconds telling me 'Your counter offer was accepted'. What's worse is there's now a second item, and both items show the notification twice in quick succession.

·1 year agoThe notification bug is still present on my account. The tech support mentioned, "The Product team reached out and wanted to thank you for bringing this to their attention and that it should be working better now." However, if the issue was only fixed for the original poster, why wasn't it resolved for all users? It doesn’t make sense to address it for just one person when many others are still facing the same problem. This needs to be fixed across the platform for everyone.

·1 year agoIf the pop-up is still appearing, try restarting your browser. If that does not help, try clearing your browser cache, and possibly manually deleting just your eBay cookies, and restart your browser again.

·1 year agoI'm having the same problem - it pops up on the screen of all of my devices, usually every 5 seconds. The exact same notification for a transaction that took place more than a week ago.
I have changed browsers, cleared cookies and turned off notifications, so now I don't get notifications I may need but I still get this notice that someone accepted an offer. Hope someone at ebay sees this and flips a switch to make this annoyance stop.

·1 year agoConsidering this issue has been reported daily for over a week, finding someone at eBay who even cares is an improbability. The good ole canned, "they know about the problem and are working to fix it" line is about the best you can hope for at this point.

·1 year agoI have been dealing with this annoyance for over a week now. Not only is it annoying as f, I can't properly access my messages because the banner covers the page link up and even when the banner is NOT on the screen(just cleared it for the thousandth time) when I click on messages it thinks I clicked on the banner and refreshes my whole page.
I spoke with technical support after spending my time speaking with regular chat support and they said someone was working on it.... eight days ago!
Who do I need to speak with that can fix this???

·1 year agoI've experienced the ongoing notification bug for the past 10 days and reported it to eBay twice with no resolution. From the 80+ posts here, it's clear many sellers are facing the same issue, with the notification pop-up making the site nearly unusable. I believe this could be a contributing factor to slower sales during this period. Sellers frustrated with the website may be posting fewer items, and buyers experiencing the same pop-up bug might be taking their business elsewhere.
It’s important for eBay to address this issue quickly, as it could be affecting both sellers and buyers across the platform.

·1 year agoI am experiencing this as well, I have clear everything and it continues to pop up. I thought maybe when a new offer was accepted that it would perhaps go away but it did not, glad to see i'm not alone on this but very frustrating indeed. Hopefully they fix it fast

Today is 9/12/2024 and it's still happening.
Clearing cookies/cache is a pita, you lose all kinds of information that I am just not prepared for lol
I tried Firefox, Chrome, and Brave. It's an ebay bug. Not a browser issue.

·1 year agoSame issue here Still...this is beyond annoying. I sure hope this fix they promised is coming soon. I think it shouldn't have gone on this long. But, that's what happens with the patches, fix one problem, and it creates another.
