Notes on purchased page
PLEASE for the love of god get this fixed... this has been reported a MILLION and a half times. Notes written and saved on purchased items go away IMMEDIATELY when you save them and reload the page. How hard can it be to get this working? Do you want me to come over and fix it myself?

·6 months agoSince this has been going on for a while I would try a different browser.
To test this function I just now added a note on a purchase from June.
I exited out of eBay and disconnected from the internet and reconnected. Note is still there.

·6 months agoWhen you post here, you're not addressing eBay or its employees. These Boards are staffed by eBay buyers and sellers. Therefore, as you can understand, there is no one here who is able to "get this fixed".

OP6 months agoRight to this is useless - how do you report a problem to the clowns who maintains eBay?

·6 months agoMost eBay pages have a "Tell us what you think" link or else a "?" icon in the lower right that can be used to report various issues.

I have experienced this occasionally, when the page has been open for a long time.
If I have trouble getting a note to save, then I refresh the page and redo the note, and then it saves just fine.

·6 months agoThat’s a good tip, lace. I run into the same problems with selling pages. If the browser window is open a while, actions will fail. Have to refresh the page.

OP6 months agoproblem is that you don't know that it hasn't saved. It looks fine until you come back to it later or refresh. And I am not talking about stale pages . I can go right now and pull up my list of purchases and add a note, then refresh and it is GONE!

If I refresh the page, enter a note and save, that note has always been saved. For me, it works every time.

·6 months agoTry another browser to rule out a browser issue, particularly if you are using an older or more obscure browser.
You may want to get into the habit of refreshing the page to make sure the note has been saved if it is not working consistently for you. From your description, it sounds like the notes are retained once they are actually saved, so the problem seems to be the initial saving.

Are you doing this on app or web?
Are you clicking Save below the note before moving on to add another note to the next purchase?
Are you waiting a second for the changes to save (the save/delete links will become hidden) before you reload the page?

OP6 months agoOf course I’m pressing save. ! And whether you wait a second or two years the issue is the same. The comments disappear. Do a good search and see how many other people complain about the same.
