New problem with PL Total numbers - anyone else?
I promote everything (not in interested in opinions of whether I should or not) and have for a very long time. Currently I'm running 1 Campaign with 1 rule to include all of my items. I do this a lot & usually every new listing is automatically added to the campaign. Starting some time a week or so ago, maybe when the new rules started, I'm not sure, I've noticed that on the App it says I have 51 listings that I need to promote. The number has been going up.
So just now I got on the PC & filtered in SH for Promoted Listings Eligible. The same number come up as eligible on the app. So I thought they had gotten excluded from my rule somehow, so I went to try & add a couple & when I click on them, I can't add them to a campaign, b/c they ARE ALREADY Promoted. If I try to Edit Promoted Listing in the dropdown for one of the 51 it says:
This listing has been added to a campaign using rule-based listing selection. To make changes to your campaign settings, please edit your campaign - opens in new window or tab.
So it knows it's in a Campaign, but keeps coming up in my numbers for NOT Promoted. Anyone else seeing this? Should be particularly obvious to people who promote everything. The 51 are recently listed. It's only been happening for a little while, could easily have started on the 13th. Anyone else seen this? If so, are yours also actually in your Campaign? I'll check back later on & respond to any questions, TIA.

OP8 months ago@kickin.assets Haha, no, I think it's a complete coincidence. I was just about to test what you said & I just checked & my task for it is gone & the numbers when I apply the filter, show everything in the campaign. FWIW, I almost never edit uploads, so I don't think it had anything to do with that either.
Thanks for posting, you posting reminded me I was gonna page eBay & then I saw what you wrote, was about to test it when I saw mine had disappeared too, so yay, I don't have to page anyone now.

ETA - pretty sure I saw the task on the app when I woke up this 'morning' (it was 2pm lol). So I think it got fixed sometime shortly before you discovered it.

Well … my promote tasks all just disappeared!
Here’s exactly what I did:
Nothing different than what I do 99.9% of the time EXCEPT I decided to do 100 SS of my oldest listings all at once. Normally I only do 20-30 sometimes 50.
Ended 100 and lowered price by a small %. Did NOT edit photos nor titles this time.
That’s it and now the 162 “tasks†all disappeared.
Soooooo is the secret sauce just lowering the price a bit? No. Because on that promote task, there were newly listed items that were not edited at all and they’re gone now also.
ARGGGGGGG …. LOL

OP8 months ago@kickin.assets I'm experiencing the same thing with the number remaining static unless I do more listings. Took me awhile to get to it, but I just did 26 'new' listings. Effectively a Sell Similar although I do NOT list directly via eBay. I listed them all the same way. 13 come of those come up when I filter it for PL Eligible, 13 were NOT. So half & half LOL. My total is up to 65 now & will stay that way until I list more or end something.
So it seems that whether they are brand new listings or not, some are there & some aren't. Although again they are all still actually promoted. I'll try to remember on Monday to page eBay, but since they're actually going into the Campaign, I suspect it won't be terribly high priority. Sure causes confusion though!

Just a little update …
6 of the 7 brand new listings I just did were added to promote task. Why not all 7?
The number never seems to go down whether it’s been more than 24 hours for brand new or not.
No rhyme or reason.

OP8 months ago@kickin.assets I'll do some relists later. I don't list from eBay, so IDK how it will go. Your results are interesting. I had a gut feel it wasn't all b/c I felt like I had listed more than what was on the list. Ultimately, I guess it doesn't really matter b/c they are in the campaign, but this is so weird.

It is weird! Heres what’s happening with mine today …
I’ve only done 18 SS on purpose. No brand new listings. Of those 18, 12 were added to this “promote†listing task.
With SS I change the 1st photo on all listings and most I will change up the title. On 6 of my SS I did not revise my titles. Guess which 6 did not get added to that promote task? Those 6 titles could’ve easily been tweaked, but some jeans (most, lol) theres just not much else to write so I didn’t change them and THOSE were the ones not ending up in tasks?! Sooo 🤷â€â™€ï¸

OP8 months ago@meme6253 Seems that way. @kickin.assets @wastingtime101 I did a test last night & it's not as simple as every item either. I listed 3 brand new, never before been listed items & my count increased only by 1. Weird. Will experiment with some relists later but right now I'm trying to beat this storm to get a few things done before it hits, but I thought that was weird.

Everything is the same as what Kickin said. At times some are <24 hours, but right now, they are all >24 hrs b/c I had a dental yesterday & haven't listed anything in >24 hours. The number keeps rising & surprisingly it even matches (so many don't), the number on the App. I've noticed it for around a week but just didn't have time to look into it. I had expected that there was an actual glitch & they weren't being added, so I was really surprised to see that they actually were in the campaign. At least there's nothing for me to do or fix, but this is annoying. I appreciate the confirmation Kickin. I'll page tomorrow & see if they can open up an issue on it. It's confusing until you dig into it. I also want to double check something first tonight.
Lyle, my My eBay does not have any reference to items not in my campaign. But, I may not have the module in question. Where would you expect to be seeing it?

Edit: nevermind. Kickin answered at the same time I was asking. And we also know now this is affecting both seller hub and the app (can guess my eBay is probably affected, too).

The number continues to go up on the app under tasks “promote listing†as I add new listings daily. So though some are less than 24hrs, most are well over that and it looks like right now there is no fix for it.
I reported the issue in the app a couple times but for now I know these are in a campaign and not much else can be done on my end. So off to find that hot toddy 🤗

Yes. Happening with me also. It’s super irritating. Been more than a week, just on app and yes it started right around the 13th. Go figure.

Edit: Yes, these are listings in a campaign! So already promoted but showing not but also can’t fix because they’re promoted! What?!? Arggggg!
