Need help with a very late item
Hey all, I've been looking for a solution to this but I'm running out of options, so I hope someone here will be able to help.
Back in November, I bought a plush toy that was initially supposed to arrive on December 5th. It got delayed to the 24th and then to the 27th, likely due to a Christmas rush. Nothing was wrong with this, but I had a vacation to leave for on the 27th (yes people were home to watch for any package that showed up.) By the time I came back home in late January, I had completely forgotten about the item! I didn't realize it never showed up until I was going through my things recently.
I have many emails from ebay detailing the order status, but I never received a message saying that the package was delivered. I do see it was sent to USPS though, so the issue may be there?
It's been very frustrating trying to solve this (either a refund or some way to still get the item) since the tracking, item, and order numbers are no longer valid so it's not like I can report it to USPS or ebay. It seemed like the only option I had was asking the seller, but since they haven't said anything, I've come here.
Tl;dr an order never showed up and too much time has passed to solve this the "normal way"
Is there anything else I should do?

At this point your only option is to contact your payment source for a chargeback. Do it quickly as there is a time limit.
If you are going to use eBay, it is important that you understand the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
Don’t let a seller string you along past your 30 days of eBay protection.
