Navigating Account Restrictions: Experiences and Solutions
Summary: everydaygiftsworld discusses their account restriction on eBay due to high-risk selling activity claiming it was unjust as their performance metrics remain compliant. They describe an incident where a buyer opened eight "Item Not Received" cases before the delivery timeframe had passed, resulting in the restriction. klhmdg informs them that there's likely no way to appeal the decision and recommends seeking employment elsewhere. soh.maryl questions the situation, to which everydaygiftsworld clarifies that the buyer placed an order for eight items and opened a claim for each item, demanding a refund.
My account was restricted due to high-risk selling activity. I would like to clarify the situation regarding the following order. The order was placed on April 15, 2026, shipped on April 17, 2026, and the tracking information was uploaded accordingly.
On April 21, 2026, the buyer opened eight separate Item Not Received (INR) cases related to this order. These multiple INR cases were opened before the expected delivery timeframe had passed and while the package was still in transit. Meanwhile, eBay restricted my account.
The tracking information later confirmed that the package was successfully delivered to the buyer before the expected delivery date set by eBay. After confirming the delivery, the INR cases were closed and the related defects were removed from my account.
My account performance metrics remain compliant, including my seller level, service metrics, and buyer experience standards.
In this situation, I contacted eBay's customer department to review my account and appeal the restriction, as I did not receive any appeal button or link for this restriction.
I am the father of two children, and selling on eBay is my full-time job, which is essential to my livelihood. The restriction on my account has had a significant impact on me. Since I do not have another eBay account. Is there any way for me to recover my seller account? Thank you for your help!

·1 month agoHow many items did this buyer purchase from you? Wouldn't it have to have been EIGHT ITEMS in order for your buyer to open EIGHT separate item not received cases? I don't get it.

OP1 month agoThis buyer placed an order for eight items. After shipping, the buyer opened eight separate INR claims for each item. In their report message, the buyer stated that they want a full refund. They did not purchase these items.

·1 month agoThere is no one here who can help you.
This is buyers and sellers mostly in the US.
We have no way to do anything with your account.
There is no appeal -
There is no way, that I have heard, of for you to be reinstated ever.
Since you have personal obligations, you will need to find employment elsewhere.

OP1 month agoI always maintain eBay policy carefully. I actively engage with the eBay Resolution Center to address any concerns raised by buyers. My account performance metrics remain compliant, including my seller level, service metrics, and buyer experience standards. I believe this restriction was premature and made in error.

·1 month agoYou may "believe" this was in error BUT eBay doesnt.
eBay at any time can cancel your selling privileges.
Your BBE requirements are all automated and once permanently restricted it is permanent.
You can argue all you want and feel you are being wronged BUT eBay has decided they dont want you selling here anymore.
Since you apparently have personal responsibilities, you should be focused on getting employment elsewhere.

·1 month agoI see that you’re located in Bangladesh. eBay has very strict requirements for non USA sellers. It doesn’t take much to get suspended. Unfortunately we’ve never heard of anyone coming back from it.
