My eBay Store featured categories were cut from 6 to 4.
All 6 are still on my EDIT STORE page but only 4 show up in store view.
How does that help anybody?

·8 months agoSame with me. I thought I had 5 or 6 on mine but they seem to be gone now. It doesn't seem to be a browser issue as I only have 4 both on the computer and the app. I can't seem to alter any of them now either. Very frustrating.

·8 months agoI'm having the same issue. Normally I have 5 categories. When I go to my store page, it's only showing 3. When I go to Edit Store in the Seller Hub, it's showing all 5.

OP8 months agoI use eBay categories.
My workaround (sort of) has been to squeeze 7 photos of different categories into the store banner.

·8 months ago@einstein43 Have you always used the eBay categories for display? Like others said, I can confirm that yours looks to me like you show, but my own has all 6. I use my own categories. The category type is just one thing I noticed that was different. No idea if that's material, but may be worth trying to switch it, since it's a simple check box.

·8 months agoIn order to see more than four categories, buyers have to hover the cursor over that row to reveal the scroll arrows to reach the remaining categories. At least that is how it works for me.
Previously eBay made it somewhat more apparent that there were additional items to see by either having the scroll arrows always appear on the right side over the last image, or else by having the edge of the picture on the right side fade into the background. Some sellers complained that their pictures were being blocked by the arrows or else faded into the background.

·8 months agoThat doesn't appear to be the issue here, I visited @einstein43 's store and it doesn't have the scroll arrows.

Ah, the scroll arrows are in the Sale items tab, not the Featured items on the main store page. My mistake.

·8 months agoI wouldn't go too deep in worrying about how your store is presented, almost no customers browse individual seller stores and when they do they almost always use the "see sellers other items" button instead which skips the storefront entirely.

·8 months agoBeen that way for 2+ years. I had to 'combine' some of mine so the categories would show all.
I wouldn't worry about it too much as almost no buyers can see/find your (or anyone's) store anymore.

I was going to check and see if I could see active listings in those store categories, but it appears you have your store set to show the eBay categories on the sidebar when browsing, which makes that difficult. If you'd like to change that, go to Edit Store and scroll all the way down, then change this option:

OP8 months agoNo Hawaii or Alaska or international.
Just to keep it simple for shipping.
stainlessenginecovers
·8 months agoSince you are shipping USPS, you should be using 'calculated' and then it would be easy to include Hawaii/Alaska.
For international, you should be shipping EIS where there is MORE protection there than shipping to the States (you keep ALL $$, returns are paid for/handled by EIS and you ship it to Illinois (For the most part)

·8 months agoWhat about the hassle of shipping from Washington DC to California?
inhawaii
·8 months agoSlightly off topic...
It shows me you have nothing for sale and nothing in your store.
Apparently you don't ship to Hawaii.
Why not?
Many times shipping to Hawaii is the same as shipping from the east coast to the west cost.

·8 months agoWhat are the categories that were "cut"?
It helps if you give us information to help us to help you.

·8 months agoFor what it's worth OP:
1. I do see the issue you're describing on your store front.
2. I do not see the issue on my own store fronts.
3. I checked and you do have items listed in the missing featured categories.
4. Click the ? icon on the bottom of almost any eBay page then select the report a tech issue link so you can report this to eBay. Include a link to this post and direct them here for screenshots.
5. Consider removing those categories from the featured row. Save changes. Re-add them. Save changes. That might fix it.

·8 months agoDo you have items listed in the categories that are not showing? I do see that only four Featured Categories are showing. Edit: And if it helps, I just checked our store and it does show all 6 that we have set up (we do have to scroll to the right to see the last 2).
einstein43
OP8 months agoScrolling used to show all 6 but today showing just these 4:
But all 6 are still in the STORE EDIT screen:

·8 months ago@einstein43 I could be wrong, but if you have a featured category that has no active listings, it won't appear i the scroll bar shown to buyers. Do you have active listings in all 6 categories?
