Media Mail offered on items listed with only USPS Ground Shipping

On recent orders of items that were listed for USPS Ground Advantage shipping, somehow the buyer was offered and selected Media Mail. When I filter my listings for Ground Advantage shipping poliocy, these items appears as they should. However, when I go to the listing, it shows Media Mail as the shipping option. This is a recent problem. Anyone else experiencing this issue. As always, it's extremely difficult to contact Ebay about the problem.

OP3 days agoHi. Thanks for the info. It does sound like my problem. I created a new shipping policy for Ground Advantage and that seems to have taken care of the problem. Now these listings actually do not show Media Mail as the shipping option. Unfortunately I had to cover the extra shipping costs on some earlier orders! Thank you for your assistance.

Have you inspected the actual shipping policy to see what shipping options are shown under that policy?

OP3 days agoHi. I delete the old policy and created a new one. So far it is working properly. Somehow the old policy got corrupted. I'd been using it a long time without any problems until this July . Thanks!

The reason you aren't getting the ability to purchase a media mail label is because your items aren't eligible for media mail.
You can't (legally) ship figurines and mugs by media mail. You have to use ground advantage.
There's no technical issue!

·1 week ago@albertabrightalberta - the issue is that on their Ground Adv listings, they are showing as Media Mail instead to buyers. The seller is not listing that way, it's being changed somewhere. It is a tech issue.

Are you referring to the figurine and the mug - as both those do show Media Mail.
If you use "sell similar" to view the shipping settings - does it show only Media Mail selected, or also with USPS GA?

OP1 week agoAll of my usps parcel items have Media on the listings . However when I filter my listings accordingto shipping policy the items appears as USPS Parcel. There is a technical problem somewhere. I have PDFs of the items thst show that they are Parcel. I saw an older posting that the same problem occurred when there was a change to Parcel shipping. There was a recent price increase and i think something got screwed up on Ebays end.

OP1 week agoTo be on the safe side Ive taken time away and ended all 23 of my usps parcel items. If necessary I'll delete them entirely and relist them if ebay cant resolve the problem. How can I directly report this issue? Thanks!

·1 week ago@rarelikecrazy - to report, look in the lower right corner of your screen on any page, such as your listings page, and click on the "?" icon. That opens a box to report the tech issue. eBay does look at these and act on them.

I thought I would post here this new glitch because I know at least one other person is having the same problem as me. When I go to buy my labels for my non-media items, IE clothing "media mail" is selected instead of USPS ground advantage. It makes it look like the buyer selected media mail when media mail was clearly not an option for the item. You can just use the drop down menu to select USPS ground advantage (or whatever shipping its supposed to be) But this is a glitch that eBay should be aware of. Posting here in case anyone else has the same confusing issue. I've already called and reported the issue.
