·2 years agoI received a message from eBay customer service this morning:
"We are currently experiencing a site issue that is causing this. Good news is I have added your account to our open IT report, to ensure this is recorded while we are working on getting this fixed. There is currently not an approximate fix date for this, but this issue is expected to be fixed as soon as possible."
If you want eBay to add your account to their open IT report you should email customer service.

No rush, eBay. It's only our livelihoods and your bottom line that's getting affected by potential customers not seeing the freaking item description! 🙈

·2 years agoMany sellers are reporting that their 'item descriptions' have either been deleted or replaced with a server error message. I am not having this issue (that I know of), but I am seeing it all over my social media feeds right now.

·2 years agoI am having the same issue. I spent quite a bit of time with someone on eBay's Facebook page and they were unable to replicate the issue. They had me try all kinds of things, none of which resolved the problem. They told me that because they couldn't replicate the problem on their end, they couldn't send in a ticket. Maybe if enough people contact them, they will see the light.

·2 years agoI'm having this issue too, Chrome, latest version, some of them show up and some don't....I do use custom HTML and styles but when I follow the iframe URL as shown in the SS it does display fine however, just not on the listing page. I seriously doubt it, but maybe encoding issue due to the spaces in the url?
It appears like "https://vi.vipr.ebaydesc.com/itmdesc/355683929727?t=%201713658203000&category=183454&seller=%20gottasellemall69..........." in the address bar (noting the %20) but again I don't think that's the issue.

·2 years agoI am having the same issue with my product descriptions disappearing from my active listings. I can make them reappear by doing very superficial revisions to the listings, but I would like to know why they are disappearing in the first place. It is happening to new and old listings alike.

·2 years agoI'm having the same problem but it's intermittent. I include a location code in my listings that tells me where I stored it so I can quickly locate it when shipping and I'm guessing you are doing something similar. Even though the description isn't displaying it's still in the eBay system as part of the listing so simply click Sell a Similar one and it will pull up the template for an identical listing including the description of the original. It's one extra step but will provide the information you need. To me the bigger concern is that if customers can't see my description their not going to buy or their going to buy something they wouldn't have if they were able to read the description and then blame me later on.

·2 years agoThis has happened to us in here N.J. Also. We often work off of some of our sold listings using them as sort of a templet when listing newer items. No biggie' though we will work around it. Good Luck! (J.B.)

·2 years agoSome are working, but most current listings just show the "We looked everywhere" page. Not sure what's going on?

They are having problems viewing descriptions too. 😞

When I look on my ipad or on my PC with Firefox, I see the orange parka kid in the description area of many active listings but not all of them.

·2 years agoI'm with @eburtonlab... I see descriptions in your recent Solds. I suppose you're looking for "Dishes #1A" (Limoges) or "Box #5" (Lake George, NY) in the listings?? Can I help you find another?

I see four of your listings that have sold and ended in the last day, and all have descriptions.
