Is anyone else having the issue of shipping and tracking saying that an item is delivered from the eBay platform, but was just scanned in by the carrier? eBay is telling us that all of our orders from today were delivered, yet they were just picked up and scanned for shipping..

I ordered a laptop Sunday, it was packed and shipped Monday morning, picked up by Fedex at the seller in Indiana, then Ebay marked it as DELIVERED this afternoon, sent me the notification that it had been delivered, and is now asking me to review the laptop that I DO NOT HAVE yet.
BTW, I'm in Maryland... nearly 11 HOURS away!! [with no traffic] ...in other words, it was physically impossible to have been delivered.
Ebay's system is treating 'Picked Up' as meaning that "I" picked it up from FedEx -- which needs to be FIXED -- 'Picked Up' in FedEx tracking terms means that a FedEx carrier has scanned the package AT THE SELLER's place of business, and it's now on it's way to FedEx's shipping facility... NOT picked up by the customer.

·2 months agoYes, this happened today with a FedEx shipment that is still en route to me. eBay has interpreted "Picked Up" as meaning the recipient has picked up the package, when in fact it has only been picked up by FedEx from one of their locations.

·2 months agoEbay tracking for USPS will stop updating if an incorrect delivered scan occurs. Even if the USPS site shows the package being scanned and moving across the country.
Long time software error. Ebay does not recover well from human errors

Tracking should update after a couple more scans.

OP2 months agoIt seems like it is a glitch between eBay and FedEx because we also had a notification of a return being delivered earlier. When I clicked into the tracking, it was just dropped off to be returned to us via FedEx.

·2 months agono, its a glitch on ebays end. Tracking from Fedex is correct, Ebay just shows delivered currently when its picked up by the carrier.
