Is automated assistant down?
Anything typed into automated assistant ends up with "Sorry, we're having technical difficulties. If you try again, I should be able to help you, or you can search online help- online help." So i cant even talk to a rep.

At the top and bottom of every page in Ebay are links to contact Customer Service.
You should save this information as it can come in handy from time to time. At the very bottom is a link in which you can request Ebay to call you.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT or ask an Agent to call you, in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

From this link you can request Ebay to call you in the USA. The option is available when Staff is available to respond, so NOT 24/7/365.

·1 week agoWhy would we go to Instagram to get help from eBay? I'm having the same problem tonight (Sept. 25, 2026, at 7pm Central time)----have been trying to figure out why I'm not able to add photos to new listing. AI answers aren't helpful. When I try to contact an agent, I get the same "Technical issues" answer from the bot.

·1 week agoBecause there are trained CSRs there to help. Ebay has been on social media for years. I'm not sure of what the surprise is here. They did however trim it down about a year ago to just Instagram.
Typically when there are technical issues, they are working on the program. Be patient and either wait, go to Instagram or use the link in which you can ask Ebay to CALL you.
