Invalid tracking number? eBay still tracks it, but FedEx site and text system can't.
eBay provided a FedEx tracking number and link to FedEx's tracking page, but FedEx claims the tracking number is invalid. I can see the tracking on the eBay site, but I cannot get to it from FedEx and would really like to use their text system for this item, since it's a very expensive purchase. Am I given the wrong number, or is FedEx wrong about the status?

OPSep 18, 2026 at 4:40 PMWord from the seller is that number is a FedEx Freight number and needs to be used on a different site than the regular FedEx one. FedEx seems to assume that everyone knows this, which we clearly do NOT.
