International shipping label glitch
Summary: jemmy2 shared an issue with eBay's International Shipping program, where the shipping label only displayed the eBay hub address without the buyer's details. Despite concerns about the lack of identification, eBay support assured them that it was a known glitch and advised that the package would be received correctly. The support agent suggested attaching a packing slip or manually writing the buyer's info on the package, but not altering the label itself. jemmy2 asked if others have experienced similar issues.
Hi all,
I ship international using eBays International Shipping program. I have used this numerous times but today I went to print a label and where it says Ship To it only had this for the address:
eBay hub
Glendale Heights 60139-2080
I called ebay and spoke with an Agent that said it was glitch and that they could not change it on my end and said its perfectly fine to ship the package that way with just as it reads and not to alter the shipping address. He said they will receive the package with just
that on the label. I questioned how will they know who it goes to since the name of the buyer is not on the label and no EVTN number, etc. But agent said (I called twice to make sure) that it was fine that
they noted my account and the hub is expecting my package.
Any one else had this happen? I am attaching a packing slip. I normally do not. Agent also said I could manually write the info (its correct on the packing slip) directly on the package but not on the label.
