Internal error, please restart app
After about a minute of scrolling, it tells me there's an internal error and to restart the app.
I've restarted
I've tried forcing the app to stop and shut down my phone
I've uninstalled the app and downloaded latest version
What else is there to try?

·5 months agoThis has been happening to me for over a month. In florida. Using ebay mobile app att service. Have called ebay over and over. They dont know and dont care. Its soooo frustrating. Nothing works.

What operating system version number and app version number are you using?
App issues can be reported to eBay by shaking your device while the app is active if that feature is enabled and the app is still running.
If uninstalling/restarting/reinstalling the app does not help or if your operating system does not support the latest version of the eBay app, uninstall the app and use a browser to reach ebay.co.uk instead.

That certainly appears to be the latest version and your Android version should support it.
If uninstalling the app, restarting your phone, and then installing the app again does not help, try reporting the issue to eBay by shaking your device while the app is active. This should provide eBay with details of your exact setup which may help in diagnosing the issue.
I am using the same version of the app on an Android 15 phone and not noticing any problems when scrolling search results, though I am not listing anything, so perhaps the issue is tied to that specifically.
Are you able to list successfully using a browser? You may need to disable the feature that automatically opens eBay browser links in the app by going to your device Settings: Apps: eBay: Open by default and turning off "open supported links".

I've removed the items I was selling, restarted and it's still the same
I've shaken the phone while ebay app was open as that is turned on and nothing happens. I presume after shaking you're told that it's reporting to ebay. I've turned off that option, restarted phone then turned the option back on, restarted and shaken phone
This is ridiculous as it was all working fine until yesterday

Once you turn off the redirect to the app, you can use a mobile browser instead of the app without the app opening links automatically.
Try using a mobile browser to do whatever was causing the error. The browser and the app use different resources, and when encountering an error with one, very often the other will work better.
When I shake my phone with the eBay app active, I get a "Shake to report" form with options to report a technical issue or send feedback. It also turns on the light, but that is a separate setting.

·5 months agoIs this happening while you are trying to list an item? If so, ensure any copy/paste description text is clean - this seems to happen to me when I have developed my description elsewhere and odd formatting is brought in - hope this helps
