I’m so aggravated right now
I’m trying to change my payout checking account information but idk my old checking account number it’s been closed over 5 years. I can’t change the account it’s blocked to make changes unless I can provide my old account number. But I don’t remember it. So my payments are permanently set to deposit into a closed account. So I won’t be getting paid. There seems to be no recourse and frankly I’m pretty pissed off!

You can still get bank statements from a closed account by contacting your bank directly, since online access ends after closure. Banks must keep records for at least five years; expect to provide personal details for verification and pay $5–$15 per statement, with processing taking up to a week or more.
You can call and ask, but you have to go to a branch, with 2 forms of I.D., to have them do it. I also checked around, and most Banks will keep the information up to 7 years.

·3 weeks agoHave you tried adding the new account instead of trying to change the old account info? You might have to add the new account first, verify it, before you can change it.
I also read that it could take 2 days for the bank information to update.
