If this is an Ebay gift card bought off of a rack in a store, it has been of high risk of being compromised by a thief.
An internet search will point you to various news stories describing the problems. This is not new, you should strongly consider avoiding all store purchases of gift cards.
You need to be more specific. If you're using gift cards other than those of ebay origin, the site has done away with accepting many, if not all of them. Even ebay's own gift cards have limitations these days.
Are you asking for help or advice? If so, you're going to need to let loose of more details of your problem. "Having gift card trouble" is really too vague for anyone to offer assistance.
