How do I contact a human at eBay now that AskeBay is dead
I need to talk to a human at eBay. I keep finding listings for things that are prohibited under eBay rules, but when I report them, my reports keep getting dismissed and the items stay up. I used to DM AskeBay on Twitter if this happened, but the account shut down about a month ago. They also shut down their Facebook. Apparently they still have an Instagram, but I don't have an Instagram and have literally no other reason to start an Instagram account.
Is there NO WAY to contact a human at eBay directly? Their help and contact pages are completely useless for what I need to do. I don't even know what category to put this question under.

·4 months agoso, i have tried almost all types of 'call me' option on the AI.
My phone doesn't even ring once, there is no voice mail.
I can only guess that there are no live agents anymore.
However, as of recent I did receive an email saying so and so's account was hacked.
If i had received a request to do a third party transaction, (which they had suggested I use paypal)
do disregard. etc..
So, for serious cases such as account compromised or red flags, I am sure a human agent handles this.
I just have no way of contacting them anymore, they used to be really good.
In this recent case, they just contacted me out of their own initiative.

Regarding buyers and sellers who need to be reported, the most effective way to do that is through these forms

Just sent a private message to the page explaining what happened.
You can get a call back, you just have to ignore the AI and say Agent repeatedly, and make sure you don't have a call filter, spam filter, or other unknown caller filter on your phone.

There is no incoming phone number for buyers or sellers. If you want a call back from eBay Customer Service, here is how to get a call:
Start at an article close to your question (you can look from here: https://www.ebay.com/help/home)
Scroll to the Bottom of the page similar to your question
1) Click "Contact Us" or the ? then:
In the CHAT WINDOW
2) Type "I need help"
3) Click "Selling" (or your topic)
4) Type "Agent" in the chat window
5) You may need to click "Something Else" or "More Options" or type "Agent" a few more times
6) Click “Have Us Call You” (or "Chat with an Agent")
-- If you use a call filter on your phone, turn it off temporarily, or it might block the incoming call.

Your reports are being handled as Ebay intends. The listings you report are checked by an automated process for obvious violations, and have passed the test. Your report is counted.
Ebay enforces most of its prohibitions based on Ebay MBG claims opened by buyers of the item. If the claims exceed a secret threshold, action will be taken or other data considered.
Some exceptions to this method exist for items which are politically incorrect or offensive where reports seem to be more effective.

If a pattern of overuse of the report button is seen, could result in a temporary timeout from being able to report anything. Might be the same using the wrong reason for reporting.
RE the first one, there was just a post from someone that that happened to.

Facebook and Twitter (X) are no longer supported, but Instagram is still going.

·4 months agoUse the report button and move on with your life. Contacting eBay, live person, is a waste of time and energy, they have no power to do anything, same would have been if you contacted someone on one of the social media sites. That is what the Money Back for buyers is for.

Unless eBay gets lots of reports about a seller, they're apt to disregard them.
