How do I check private messages on this forum?
I got an alert that multiple people DM'd me..... but in this newer format I have no idea how to access private messages? haha...
can anyone help? It's not on the left bar.. when I click the alert it takes me to my profile page.... no idea what I'm supposed to do to read these...

OP3 weeks agoupdate... for those curious (now that messages are back) they were 100% scam phishing spam

·1 month agoThe DM takedown was 5 days ago, and so were those messages.
Can you contact the senders through regular eBay messaging?

OP1 month agoI have no idea who they are or what the messages were.... would love to know if they were the scammers but I can't.. i don't want to cold DM random people on here to ask "hey, are you a scammer?" haha

·1 month agoYes, that was the big reason they pulled DM down. Someone was trying to DM phish the members here.

OP1 month agohope they're IP banned on ebay then... doesn't help me know if these were genuine messages or not lol

·1 month agoNo one could send a DM in the past 5 days, so if you have some in DMs, they must be old. With that said, nothing you can do about it right now, hopefully later this week they will be back up and running.

·1 month agoThen they were sent BEFORE they froze/removed the option to send or receive DMs. It isn't more complicated than that.

·1 month agoBoth of those accounts were created September 1st, so the most likely explanation is that those were scam "verification" messages, unless you can think of another reason why someone would create a new eBay account just to send you a community message.
