General Overall Ebay site performance and Operations is Decreasing/Having more Problems
Since end of Christmas the sites overall performance is getting worse, across the board.
Lag times for queiries are increasing and sometimes timing out to "lost connection" and/or "oh snap!" error pages.
Editing active and draft items take longer to generate the edit screens and this sometimes fails.
Even pulling up current orders to can also be slow and sometimes times out.
Searching for things in your own inventory or site searches are more frequently having issues of delay or failure.
I don't know what is going on on the back end but it seems like the system is bogging down in general, across multiple areas. I don't change anything on my end, same broswer, I connect in the same typical places, I make sure my device has plenty of free space for use, and the browser is the only app I have open other than a text document. The ebay site however is undergoing constant changes in both hardware and software and dealing with old and new bugs, so its far more likely to be the reason I am seeing all of this decline in sitewide performance.
## even posting this small message took the system about 30 seconds before it appeared to accept it, that is way slower than what I am used to seeing.

Remember that your equipment, your internet provider, and the internet between you and Ebay can all cause the types of delay you see.
As well as the potential for browser issues, your system may contain malware, have a hard disk in need of defragmentation, have limited free space on your hard disk, or be affected by other software you have downloaded to your system.
Your internet provider may be performing maintenance, reconfiguring or experiencing other problems. With this problem lasting more than a week, I suspect your problem probably resides on your system or with your network connection. If your ISP provides you with diagnostic tools (Xfinity does) you should probably test your internet connection. You could also contact your ISP's support group and ask them to test your connection.

I cannot speak to selling-side issues, but I have not noticed any lag times when searching or doing other eBay account activities in that time period. No "lost connection" or missing pages that I have noticed, aside from a very brief period one morning when the community pages were very slow to respond. I did not notice any issues outside of the community pages at that time.

If you have not done so, it might be worth trying another browser to rule out browser-related issues, or another device to rule out a device issue. Though I do not necessarily think the things you describe sound like browser or device issues, there are some things such as add-on conflicts that can potentially slow things down and cause problems, and it makes sense to rule out the easy things first before looking at things that are harder to check.
If using a different browser or a different device does not show any difference, it might be worth trying a different network connection, if possible. Or at the least, try rebooting network hardware, if possible and if you are always using the same network in your typical places.
If you have tried all that and there is no difference, then perhaps the issue is on eBay's end.
