EU Batteries and Waste Batteries Regulation - Documents question
As you may know eBay rolled out this requirement:
Meaning I need to post a warning (in my case) for items containing a battery and a direction on how to dispose - recycle them. eBay designed a Documents section in the listing that can be used to add documents.
- It's not yet implemented in the API so when using a listing program like Sixbit, I need to add it in each affected listing individually by revising them on eBay.
- The title of the document I made is not shown; it says Engels.pdf when I click on it (checked the listing on eBay.nl so it partially makes some sense, see this listing; 236605405700).
- There are no regulations on eBay to be found on what's NOT allowed in the documents that can be added to a listing. Think watermark, tel.no etc etc. There is no Help-page yet for sellers on do's and don'ts on Documents.
- The EU directive also says a lot on giving the buyers information about recycling. That option is nowhere in the dropdown of different sorts of documents. Also; there is no picture available to add that the item does not belong in household waist.
Most important; it's now very time-consuming checking each affected listing and manually revising it. Can eBay please make the upload of documents available?
And; is it possible to add a recycle picture and remark?

OP8 months agoChecked on eBay UK and EU sites if there is more information to be found, only to see the page in my topic exactly translated into the local language. I'm missing Do's and Dont's on any of these pages where it comes to designing a Document that is added to the listing.
