To be clear, this is an issue with the Android app.
Steps to recreate:
- Go to the selling page
- Go to the list of drafts or edit one of the drafts shown on the selling page
- Edit an existing draft
- Edit the description and make a change
- Click the back arrow to go back to the listing summary. The error screen (as show in the screenshot above) appears. Screen title " Listing Summary". Error message " We're sorry, there was an error. Unknown error!"
When I get this error on the description field, the changes to the description are saved.
I also get this error when adding photos to the listing:-
- I choose several photos from my phone to add to the listing
- The photos start to appear on the listing and the error occurs
- The photos may or may not actually get added to the listing
- The error appears before pressing the done button. If I'm quick and press Done, the error still occurs.
Using the iPhone app, I am able to list, then an error screen with error 211 pops up briefly. It does go away, and I am able to verify that the listing is active afterwards.
Same here, works on PC but i like to start it on the phone app and then upload the photos from my phone, then finish on the PC in bulk but this is annoying and today I had a lot of time to list. Hopefully fixed tomorrow.
Same problem here. After spending 20 minutes editing photos listing did not update and edits were lost. Five times. I did all the recommended fixes; deleting cache, cookies, browser history, etc. Used incognito, alternate browsers, alternate devices and operating systems. I am convinced the issue is the ebay platform. Meanwhile the automated notices telling me to complete my drafts continue. After 20 years selling on ebay I am looking for something else. This platform wastes my time without explanation or remedy. Greed is destroying America and every good thing we create. ebay is no exception. I doubt they continue to employ the talent to properly manage the platform any longer. They have automated nearly everything and reduced staffing in an effort to deliver a few more pennies to the shareholders. Pathetic.
