Ended Listings Not Showing Up Under Inactive Tab, Among A Mountain of Other Glitches
Over the past month, items that I have ended have not shown up under the "Inactive" tab. Just before this issue began, it was taking approximately ten minutes to show up, but now some listings just never show up under the "Inactive" tab. About a week ago, all of the items I ended just disappeared, never to return. Today it's hit and miss, sometimes the items show up, other times the listing is just gone.
I run my business based on eBay guidelines, such as ending a stale listing, rewriting the title and description and adding more keywords to the specifics section if an item hasn't sold in a few months of being active. But now there are an entire batch of my listings that will never be relisted again because the listing is completely gone and I'm not about to retake all the photos and redo the ENTIRE listing all over for 400+ items. I never ran into this issue before, and I started my very first eBay account in the 90's so I'm one of the original users of the platform.
The technical glitches on eBay have become unbearable, I spend FAR more time trying to fix or find workarounds for eBay glitches than I do actually listing items. I never experienced a single glitch of any type on eBay until the very day they added AI to the site, maybe it's just a coincidence, but I don't think it is. I'm a major fan of AI and AI tools that help me run my business but I'd much rather go back to no AI than be forced to operate my business on a platform that is so glitchy that it takes 2-4 days of my workweek to do what I once could accomplish in one single workday. I've held on, thinking things would get better and eBay would get the entire site working smoothly once again, but it's almost three years now, so I've given up on thinking it will ever get better. The best I can hope for is that a better platform will come along to replace eBay, or leadership will undergo a MASSIVE shift to competent individuals.
My work days now consist of me, attempting to list items on eBay, getting maybe 1-3 listings active before some type of major glitch or malfunction with the site shows up, I then try to spend about an hour fixing it, give up, then spend the remainder of my work day just listing the items elsewhere and not even worrying about listing it to eBay. What eBay doesn't understand is they're forcing themselves to be the "Bad Platform" that no one wants to use anymore, what I mean by this is that eBay has become my very last priority when it comes to listing new items, if the item never makes it to eBay, I simply don't care. My sales have grown so much on the other platforms that I don't even really need eBay, but I hold on because I love having a "store" I can send people links to, and I once loved the experience of using the site.
At this point it doesn't even matter if they fix this glitch because another one just as bad or worse will show up in about 30 seconds after its fixed. I love AI tools, for real, I use MANY for my business, but eBay doesn't seem to have a clue about how to integrate it into the site without it messing up everything adjacent to it.
If AI is the issue, PLEASE REMOVE IT EBAY! At least until you can tamp down the massive log of glitches we are all forced to endure when simply trying to use your site. We don't need or want the current AI that has already been installed onto the platform, who wants a non-functional tech product anyway?!?! We have MUCH better AI tools that do the exact same thing yours is supposed to do, and they do it without glitches and do a much better job at it as well.
I don't mean to sound so negative, but three years of not having a full work week because you cant even get the most basic of things to work has broke me to the point that I HATE eBay. That's a major statement coming from me because 4 years ago, eBay was my reason for waking in the morning, it was my passion, I wore eBay T-Shirts, talked to everyone who would listen about how amazing of a platform it was, I even taught a class on how to start a eBay business. Fast forward to today and the only advice I offer about eBay is to stay far far away, at least until they fix whatever is happening to the site, if they ever do. It makes me sad but as of today if the entire company went bust, all I would feel would be relief.

The listings are not disappearing from eBay. They’re still there — they’re just not showing up in the Inactive tab.
I use a third-party inventory management program, and whenever a listing goes “missing,” I can still see it there along with all my other ended listings. I’m able to relist it from that system, and it goes right back to Active and shows up in search with no issue. That strongly suggests the problem isn’t the listings themselves — it’s how Seller Hub is displaying (or failing to display) them. Possibly some type of sync delay or failure. The listings do still exist on eBay’s backend and are accessible via the API.
I know that doesn’t fix the frustration, but it does point to where the breakdown is actually happening. This symptom started showing up for some of us last year. It seems to be more widespread now. It is probably wise to do a back up of your listings before ending a bunch of them.

Brilliant! Thankfully I do use a third party lister and did not think to look there for my one MIA listing. I knew I had the backup there that could be easily relisted but now I see it is 100% showing up in my inventory as live and currently listed on ebay.

·5 months agoI sort my active listings by ENDING SOONEST, At some point Saturday Night 3 Listings ending and getting ready to roll over rolled over to the top of the list and have been stuck there. Example 3 items with the time left at 28 Days 7 hrs and 5 minutes at the top of ending soonest with Items under minutes left before they roll over. Anyone else seen this?

·5 months agoI've had the same issue since the start of March and came here to post the same.
Yesterday I did an end/edit/relist of 200 items (199 actually see below for that story). Apart from the now normal delay I had one item that as of today was still not showing in active listings. I figured there was an error so I tried to manually relist it today and got a "duplicate listing" error. The item does not show up in my active or in a search of ebay.
As for the 199... I've actually hit that "?" a couple of times to report that 199 of 200 bulk ended items would go to inactive and it would take sometimes 5 to 10 minutes for the 200th to show up. The eBay fix seems to have been to only have 199 listings available to select when you select the show 200 option. It worked well a couple of times but now its common to see 198 show up with #199 take forever...LOL
eBay can be a struggle at times but this past month I've struggled with the most issues and errors that I can remember. It really feels AI is the issue and you can bet that is not going to go anywhere. We are going to have to figure out how to adapt. Some transparency would be nice.
