eBay Search Results Flooded and Unrelated
Just a few weeks ago my eBay searches gave me specific search results that only included my search words. Now, I am flooded with results that don’t apply to my search. This is true on the app and on the desktop web version.
Did eBay do this on purpose? I find it very annoying to search for:
Jacques Marie Mage Yves
(Jacques Marie Mage being the brand and Yves being the model).
And instead of getting just Jacques Marie Mage Yves, I am shown close to 400 search results, albeit they are mainly Jacques Marie Mage glasses, but not the specific model I’m searching.
This seems to be the case for anything I am searching for on eBay.

·2 years agoIf a search returns results that do not appear to contain your chosen keywords in the titles or item-specifics, try putting one of your search keywords in quotes, like this:
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=Jacques+Marie+Mage+%22Yves%22&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_sop=12
Using quotes around one of your search keywords forces eBay to avoid any keyword substitutions or corrections and search for literal matches only.
From the search with the unrelated results, use the "feedback" link in the lower right corner to report the problem to eBay page developers. If enough users report problems with searches, eBay may take action to correct the problem.
