·8 months agoLooks like this issue is now fixed. Keyword search in "search your orders" is now working and retrieves a full purchase history.

·8 months agoA search of my Purchase History seems to be working better this morning -- returning multiple results where yesterday I saw only one or none.
If you are still having problems searching, try restarting your browser.

·8 months agoDecember 23rd and same problem for me. I know I've been experiencing this for at least a week and a half now. Having to manually go back through my purchase history to re-buy things I bought months ago is a royal pain in the you know what.
Also, I see somebody else here pointed out that certain listings aren't showing up in general searches when sorting by lowest price. Glad I'm not the only one who noticed this.
Hey ebay - FIX YOUR SEARCH ENGINES. THEY'RE ALL IN SERIOUS NEED OF REPAIR!!! It's bad enough I get hundreds of completely irrelevant results when I sort by best match. I used to at least be able to sort by some other method and get rid of most of those results. Now that method is not even reliable. I don't know how buyers are even supposed to find what they're looking for any more.

·8 months agoThe sad thing is this isn't even search engine related. This is a simple search of their own data. Not a very difficult thing to do even at scale.

·8 months agoYes, I have noticed this for about the past week or so. eBay has no problem raising their fees and doing other questionable things (ie not showing all listings if you search by lowest price, etc.) but when it comes to fixing broken functionality, I won't be holding my breath waiting for a fix.

·8 months agoThe thread was started on Thursday. Someone from eBay responded on Friday to say that there was an open ticket ALERT number and that the issue was being looked into by eBay. Likely that is all you will hear about this until the issue is actually fixed.

·8 months agoYep, still happening. I have reported a technical issue daily for the last week. This needs fixed immediately. It’s impossible to find stuff with thousands of purchases.

·8 months agoThe search function within “Purchases†hasn’t been working properly for the past 48–72 hours. I’ve tried all the usual fixes — clearing browser cache, cookies, and data, and testing on multiple browsers/devices — with no change. At this point it appears to be an eBay-side issue rather than user error.
This is a core tool for tracking purchases, sellers, and grading status, so the outage is pretty disruptive. Any acknowledgment of the issue or guidance on a fix would be appreciated.

·8 months agoSame here. Thought I was going crazy. Searching purchases has always been clunky, but it’s totally busted now. I can search for an item from 5 days ago, and it won’t find it. I can find it if I scroll to it, but not via search.

·8 months agoI am experiencing the same issue. When I search my purchases with a specific keyword, only a few or none at all are returned when there are, in fact, many, many more items that should be shown. This is across all my devices so definitely not on my end.
EDIT: This problem only started yesterday afternoon and continues today

I am seeing similarly few results in multiple browsers and the app when searching Purchase History.
One or two recent results for a very common keyword, then a canceled transaction from 2021 and nothing else.

Hey @eburtonlab! There is a known issue with a buyers purchase history not working as intended. There is also an open ticket to have it resolved under ALERT16390.

·8 months agoJust got off the phone with ebay and they said ALERT16390 was resolved which clearly the issue isn't. So they made another ticket 325027 and stated to try the feature again in 48 to 72 hours. this is a pretty important feature to look up purchases for reselling with tax season approaching.

The data seems to be intact -- I am able to choose a particular year and see all my purchases; it is just that the search function has problems retrieving those results.
