eBay Checking My Computer
A couple of weeks ago I noticed when I would come to eBay using my computer a message flashes that they are verifying my computer (or something to that effect). When this started a couple of weeks ago, I cleared my cookies and eBay history. I logged in and did not have any more issues. That was until Friday. I once again cleared my cookies, etc. This time that did not fix it.
It is almost as if they think I am using a VPN. I do not use a VPN. I'm curious if anybody else is seeing this.

OP4 months agoThank you for the replies. I'm glad it isn't only me. It would be terrible for them to think I'm not me and shut my account down.

I noticed it again yesterday and paid some attention to it -
I see it when I go between here and the eBay home site, especially when Im checking something there from here.
It may be a check between this Khoros run page and eBay. Just a thought....

OP4 months agoI've seen it then as well. It does not happen every time for me.

·4 months agoIt does it to me over and over as I view different parts of eBay. Quite annoying, but only burns up 1 or 2 seconds of my time each occurrence. I am fairly certain eBay does not actually intend to be checking my computer that many times a day.

It popped up a couple times the other day.
I was hoping that they are doing this instead of that annoying Captcha - Im human thing.

·4 months agoI think it might be problematic if it is auto and it determines you are, indeed, NOT a human. At least with captcha it allows us to interact.
