ebay and paypal at fault, read below
Summary: hannibalhotel expressed frustration over an issue with a shipping address on an eBay order, stating that the order was intended for his son and incorrectly sent to a different address. He criticized the seller for not acknowledging the address change and mentioned the disconnect between eBay and PayPal systems. eburtonlab clarified that the discussion board is public and the seller follows the address provided at checkout. They advised hannibalhotel to review the address settings in his eBay account to ensure it aligns with his intended shipping address during purchase.
From todays-bfdGood morning,
We see no message anywhere here in eBay about a different delivery address than the one that eBay says is the delivery address. We would have cancelled the order if we saw the message and had you reorder, with the correct address. Paypal and Ebay are not connected like they used to be, so changing an address on the Paypal side doesn't transfer over to the shipping address on eBay.
I am sorry for any inconvenience. Best we can do is accept the return for a full refund and you can order with the correct address.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
That is an insult , order with the correct address. There was a new address in my order that gives my sons address in Austin. I am not an idiot !
I know exactly what I was ordering and where it was going, it was for his birthday.,
I know nothing about ebay or paypal connections with your company, perhaps your company should verify >> beings you're saying it's their fault?.
What I know is my order was changed, with my address being substituted.
your reply>>> Here is the best that you can do , not me >>>>
I am not going to reorder, until you fix your internal problems.
ebay and paypal will be real happy to read where you place blame.

You are posting on a public discussion board. Neither eBay nor your seller are here, only other users that can answer questions or offer suggestions.
Go to your Purchase History, find the transaction, and check your order details to see what shipping address was associated with that order. That is the address the seller received, and that is the address the seller was required to ship to.
It is entirely possible you added an address to your eBay account but did not set that address as the shipping address at eBay checkout for that order. If that is the case, the seller is not at fault. The seller only sees one address -- the address that comes with the payment.
Check your addresses here and note which address is set as your Primary Shipping Address. That is the address that appears by default at checkout on eBay, and that is the address the seller sees unless you explicitly change it during the checkout process.

BTW, it is the public that NEEDS to know, ebay/paypal from complaints.
have been with ebay for 23 years, have ordered and received at least 59 items in the past 2 months.
NEVER had a problem until now.
I did set the address, why I am so upset about the mismanagement at ebay/paypal.
EBAY & PAYPAL, I did find out, are not coordinating and its the customers who SUFFER.
I have asked to speak with legal at ebay in 7 filed complaints, as I am sure there are hundreds more that have suffered what I have been going through/
PAY ATTENTION to what the seller said, they would not SAY THAT if it were a isolated event because they would be liable, i applaud them being honest, glad its in writing.
If legal, which i sent to all ( 7 )ebay I could, doesn't want to answer and antie up, I have no problems with findong others and filinf suit.
Never have never filed a suit & I am 73, there are ways to make them comply.
SO. nothing to check besides their records when the courts or interrogatories call for it.
Respectfully submitted
