DARK MODE FOR COMPUTERS
I would like to request the addition of a Dark Mode option for the eBay website on desktop. Many platforms already offer this feature, and it makes browsing much more comfortable, especially at night.
Dark Mode reduces eye strain, improves accessibility, and even helps save battery life on laptops. Adding this option would greatly enhance the user experience for many of us who spend long hours on eBay.
I hope you will consider implementing Dark Mode in future updates. Thank you for your attention.

·5 months agoYes this can be done with third party tools. But a lot of websites offer built in dark mode and there's no reason ebay couldn't do it too. +1 to this suggestion.

This is a common request. I prefer dark mode myself. I suggest tapping the ? icon and using the 'send feedback' link to submit your request direct to eBay.
Here on the forums there is a dark mode option in your profile settings.
On the eBay app there is a dark mode.
On the website? No dark mode available. I've seen some people force it with browser add-ons, but going that route can lead to unintended problems with page view.
In case you want to explore a tested option, I'm going to quote a post from @eburtonlab, one of the resident "tech experts" on this forum:
If you use a common desktop browser, take a look at an add-on called Color Changer. It allows you to set background, text and link colors independently using a color wheel, it remembers your default on/off settings for each site, and it allows you to turn it on or off with a couple of clicks using an icon in your browser toolbar. It does have a few unintended side effects -- some icons like the notification bell lose their color, and some images in pop-up windows are affected adversely -- but if harsh white backgrounds are bothering your eyes, Color Changer might be worth playing with.

I use a browser add-on called "Color Changer", which allows me to independently set background, text and link colors on a site by site basis using a color wheel.

·5 months agoDisplay settings on your OS. Instead of white/blue background with black lettering mine is set to a nice medium gray background with white lettering. I may change the letters to black, haven't decided yet.
Much easier on the eyes than the stark blueish white.........................
